Ugh, how is this year moving so quickly after the longest January that ever was? Yuck. But here we are, in March, and what a time it is.

For this month’s trip to the runfessional, let’s join up with Marcia’s Healthy Slice…
Let’s Start By Runfessing…
That one of my favorite parts of my new job is all the walking I get in! With dogs! That’s right! Dogwalking is a fantastic way to increase steps and cardio! Depending on the dog, it can also be a little bit of resistance training, too! My largest walker is a yellow lab, while my farthest walker is a terrier. The pugs aren’t clients but they are my terrible twosome.

Next, I’ll Runfess…
That there are two races I want to run this weekend and I need to make a choice. One is for a colon cancer, which is an amazing cause, and I have a friend who is a survivor, so that the’s no brainer. The other is just a little more convenient in timing. Do I do both? Nah. I’m going to don my blue and get out in support.

My Next Runfession Is…
I am so glad to be home. In the last three weeks, I spent only three nights in my own bed. It was amazing to have so much business, but also pretty hard to be guest room surfing for an extended period of time. Sometimes, it’si hard for me to adjust, but it’s also been a great way to force me into being more flexible and productive.

I Runfess…
That we are identifying our next steps in this life journey. I always knew I didn’t want to stay here forever, and with A about to enter his senior year, I want to lay the foundation for something new. My requirements include getting out of this state, a huge front porch, a walkable main street vibe, a running community, animals, and a fabulous kitchen. I want community, a great book club like the one I have here, a vibrant artist/creative feel and nature. We think we have a city/town picked out, but we have to check it out first. Something about me is that I will move somewhere without even spending time there (it’s worked out so far), but we just want to make sure. I’m still super open to suggestions.

Finally, I Would Runfess…
That I was influenced into getting a few things from the TikTok shop in regards to my own self care. I’ve convinced myself I have high cortisol, so I invested in some women’s vitamins that are supposed to help with sleep and existential dread, a red light guasha tool and Vitamin C serum. In addition, I think I want to try mouth taping at night, which seems bizarre, but what the heck? I feel fine other than the constant fight or flight vibe, but it can’t hurt to try something different. I’ll keep you posted!

Do you have any March runfessions to share? Have you tried mouth taping?

Suspense. Where do you want to move?
Glad your new job is going well.
I’m often in hotels so I know what you mean.
And yes the charity is more important unless you need a PR.
I mean. I WANT to move to Maine or somewhere in New England. We are looking at some places in Georgia or North Carolina. I would prefer to be more north, but I will take what I can get.
That’s exciting that you all are planning a big move! Can’t wait to hear where you decide to go.
So good to hear that the new gig continues to go well – and you can’t beat all that extra walking and time with dogs 🙂
It’s pretty exciting and brings me something to look forward to.
I am all about more time with dogs.
It’s great to hear that your new job is going well. Don’t tell my clients, but your clients are cuter than mine! 😉
How exciting that you’re thinking of moving. It will be fun hearing where you decide to go.
My clients are incredibly cute.
I cannot wait to make a move. I really can’t.
Glad your new job is going well and I bet you do get a ton more exercise! Have you ever checked your cortisol levels? Easy blood test-also many women our age have thyroid issues pop up also easy to check. That’s my 2 cents as a not doctor 🙂
I’ll check the next time I go to the doctor. You know how I feel about that LOL
Sounds like your new venture has been a great fit! All the extra walking is a sweet bonus 😉 I’m excited to hear about the upcoming relocate!
It’s going to take some time to navigate, but at least we are moving in a direction.
All the best with picking out your next place to live. We’ve been pondering that literally for years but won’t do anything while our parents are in this area. Glad the dog walking gig is fun for you!
