race report: gate river run 15K {3.11.2017}

April 7, 2017      4 Comments

This has taken a while to write. I was waiting for the professional race photos, which are trickling in slowly. I can always add photos later. 2017 was the 40th anniversary of the Gate River Run 15K. That's fairly exciting when you think about it. I should have been more pumped to run it, but I ...

Drum roll, please. It's time for the Great Space Coast Half Recap of 2015. This would be my third, consecutive running of this race. race report: st. augustine 10K {11.05.2015}

December 22, 2015      6 Comments

Originally, I hadn't planned to run the St. Augustine 10K. I wanted to - I had run it two years prior and really enjoyed it - but I forgot to register and it fell by the wayside. However, I reached a point where I bailed on a long run, had to make it up, and couldn't wrap my head around 11 ...

race report: tour de pain – 5k road race & 1 mile sizzler {8.8.2015}

September 2, 2015      41 Comments

After a hot shower and a delicious meal of honey chicken, I got myself to bed. Day 2 of Tour De Pain was just hours away. The 5K road race portion of Tour De Pain was going to held at the same location where I ran the Celebration 5K. It's a perfectly reasonable 5K asphalt course. It's flat ...

race report: tour de pain – 4 mile beach run {8.7.2015}

August 26, 2015      38 Comments

Last year was my first go at Tour De Pain (day 1 & day 2). When I completed the last mile of the three race series, I was pretty adamant that I could take it or leave it the next time it popped up on the calendar. And then it did pop up on the calendar and I decided I couldn't leave ...

The @freskincare DETOX ME post-sweat mask is a great way to combat the sun and humidity. And the cold and wind. And central heat and air conditioning. And everything in between! With ingredients like Kaolin Clay to draw out impurities and absorb excess oil and Blue Azulene to reduce inflammation and soothe damaged and stressed skin, I know my skin can be both protected and restored post-run.

I apply the DETOX ME mask after my runs, and let the natural ingredients do their work to detox, exfoliate, and purify. I leave the shower feeling refreshed, glowing, and ready to face my next adventure!
