Seriously. I can’t tell you a time it was so consistently hot and humid and miserable in recent memory. It’s draining and exhausting and I just want to lay on the floor all day. Yes, iced coffee would be a huge part of that plan. It’s literally the only thing keeping me sane at this point.

After reading here, head on over to visit Coco and Deborah, our awesome link-up hosts.

Over Coffee, I Would Tell You…
That I can’t wait to get my caffeine loving hands on the new, very limited, Raspberry Cream Cold Brew from Starbucks. I drink most of my coffee at home these days (I haven’t been out and about at breakfast/coffee time), but this one looks heavenly. Raspberry and coffee go so well together and I think I would love the berry flavor in the foam.

I Would Also Tell You…
That we are FINALLY going to see the new Superman movie and I cannot wait. Nicholas Hoult (Lex Luthor) is one of my favorite actors and the cast looks amazing. While I’m not a comic book person, I always loved the 1977 Christopher Reeve version of the Man of Steel, and I am excited to see how this iteration plays out. I’m already obsessed with the music, and the idea of the introduction of some new, canonical characters.

Over Coffee, I Would Share…
That A’s last summer band camp is over. It was really strange not being part of it as volunteer, but that’s how transitions and new chapters work sometimes. It’s going to be a great season and I can’t wait for it to unfold.

While We’re Having Coffee, I’m Going To Share…
That I have been absolutely slammed with work from both my jobs. Sometimes, it’s overwhelming, but I tend to do better and be more creative the more I have on my to-do list. Am I the only one who works like that? The less I have to do, the less productive I feel. It’s weird.

With Coffee In Hand, I Would Tell You…
That it is finally August. And while ordinarily, August is one of the worst months, this August promises to be a time of looking up in all the ways. I’m cautiously optimistic because it’s about time we had a break. Here’s to sunnier (but cooler) days ahead.

What would you tell me over coffee?

It’s been so humid this summer. It makes everything worse!
I think we might see Superman this weekend!
I also am more productive when I’m busy. I guess I thrive under pressure!
Coco recently posted…Already August Coffee Date
Why are we like that lol! Why can’t we just do the things on normal timelines?
I can’t wait to see Superman!! They filmed a TON in Cleveland so I have friends who were extras that I have seen in the trailers plus the familiar buildings! Hope to see it soon
Oh, that’s so cool! I had no idea!
Yes, it’s been terrible here. The problem is, this is supposed to be our rainy season and it isn’t raining at all, which makes it even hotter. I’m ready for it to be over, but sadly we won’t get any relief in August. Or September. But eventually it will cool down!
I haven’t been drinking them, but Starbucks has some very pretty seasonal drinks! Sometimes after the gym I take my daughter and her friend to Starbucks, so I experience them vicariously.
I am sitting at my client’s house, staring out the sliding door and listening to thunder. Is it going to rain or is it going to be another big tease? Fingers crossed!
I feel like July is hotter than August and I hope that is true this year. It’s been incredibly humid this summer and I miss my outdoor walks. Let us know how that raspberry coffee is!
I can’t wait to try it.
Your feeling might be correct this year, but we will have to see. It’s on the verge of storming right now. I hear thunder and the sky is black. Of course, it could all just be a huge tease.
I am over this heat!!
You are going to love Superman! It’s so fun and if you like Nicholas Hoult you’ll be very pleased! He’s a great bad guy.
He is such a versatile actor! I have been trying to watch all his movies… I’m stuck on Nosferatu. It’s so dark (visually) that I can’t see a darn thing happening.
We had a record-breaking July which makes me nervous for what August might bring. I’m so over this weather.
Oh enjoy Superman! I was a fan of the original with Christopher Reeve and this new version does look like a good one.
Christopher Reeve was so perfect… I didn’t end up making it but we will get there. I’m not at all looking forward to the weather this month.
Here’s to hoping for a better August ahead – and not just the weather.
I heard they’re criticizing Superman as “too woke.” I’ll probably see it just b/c of that – LOL!
I mean… it couldn’t have anything to do with the fact that Superman IS woke and was created woke. Ugh, people make me insane. I can’t wait to see it – we didn’t make it on Friday, but maybe next weekend.
I’m pretty creative, but I have found that my creativity is “on steroids” when I’m under a tight deadline. Being forced to get things done quickly forces me to take a pass on overthinking.
Isn’t it funny how that works?
I did try that new Starbucks flavor. It was good. I prefer the chocolate and salted caramel.
I rarely go to the movies theses days.
Im excited now!
I rarely go, but I do love the movies. I typically wait til something has been out a little bit so it’s less crowded. And sometimes it’s nice to just go alone early in the day.
It’s been so humid here this summer. Of course, I was in the desert and then the mountains out west for four weeks where the humidity was almost non-existent so it was really a rude awakening to me when I returned to Virginia. Here’s hoping for less humidity and haze, and more sunshine!
And yes, I work better under pressure, too.
I’m sure it was a very soggy slap in the face.
I just don’t see how I can continue to sweat. There is nothing left in my body.
I also want to try that drink. I am going to get it this week when I go to school to set up my room. I was supposed to go to the movie theater this Summer and didn’t go. The weeks and days went by too fast.
Great idea! We ended up not making it – maybe next weekend.
This summer dragged and sped by simultaneously. Time is funny like that.
It was a terribly hot, humid July here as well and I was lucky to be away for half of it. When I have more that needs to be done, I work with more structure and purpose. When I know I have time, I’m more “wasteful” with my time, if that makes any sense.
You were soooo lucky to be away. You missed all the “fun.”
I’m trying. I just put my phone on the charger in another room so I can not get distracted by dog videos.
