introducing…. SweatGuru

Disclosure: I was compensated by SweatGuru for this post. All opinions are my own.

Starting today, fitness professionals and enthusiasts in New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles will have the chance to connect with each other via an innovative and  interactive website: SweatGuru.

Founded in 2012 by Jamie Walker and Alyse Mason Brill, SweatGuru is a great way for fitness professionals to promote their classes and and offerings (business listings are free; while a monthly fee applies for a full subscription which would include schedules, online registration and the like) and for consumers to find and sign up for classes in all disciplines and at all levels. There is no charge for enthusiasts to browse listings or register for classes.

To find a class in a particular location, simply enter the parameters in the search bar.

And then sort to find the perfect match. Options include everything from yoga to spinning to crossfit and so much more.

It couldn’t be easier.

Users can also earn points for registering online, checking in to classes and sharing workouts. Reward points can be redeemed for healthy food and workout gear, so there is an added incentive to utilize the social aspect of the website. After all, who doesn’t love rewards?

SweatGuru was born out of the need for a better way to manage my growing bootcamp business, take reservations and stay in touch with clients,” said Jamie Walker, SweatGuru co-founder and CEO. “As a fitness consumer, I also wanted an easy way to discover, reserve and pay for classes in my neighborhood. SweatGuru is built by fitness pros for fitness pros. We will start by growing our network in San Francisco, New York and Los Angeles, and look forward to expanding to other markets soon.”

If you live in or near any of these three cities, be sure to give SweatGuru a try, whether you own your own gym or studio, or if you’re looking for a new class to spice up your workout routine. I’m excited for it to expand to my area!
