This is a sponsored post. I received a complimentary, customized training journal from Journal Menu for my own personal use in exchange for my review. We will also be giving away a custom training journal to one reader. As always, all opinions are my own.
Even though I am a person who works much better with writing things down than keeping track of thing digitally, I somehow never managed to have an actual training journal.
Crazy, I know.
When the good folks at Journal Menu contacted me, I realized that the time had come to rectify the situation.
Erica walked me through the process of selecting the design for my covers, using my own photographs, and then sent me a few proofs, just to make sure everything was perfect.
A little over a week later, I was opening the envelope containing my new training journal!
Marathon medal on the front…
… and my sweet boy Oscar on the back.
Not only was it excellent quality, with coated covers and a nice spiral binding, but I loved all the details inside: spaces for goals, training plans for different length races with slots to track your own training, inspirational saying and daily blocks to fill in meals, workouts, runs and other notes.
I loved all of the information available, as well as all the different places where I could record my goals and training progress. Definitely a great way to keep myself accountable.
It’s going to be great to have a place for side-by-side comparisons of my training vs a plan for my next half, as well.
The journal is the perfect size to slide into a purse or gym bag, too – great for taking on the go!
It’s great for me to everything written down so I can just take a quick glance and see where I’m at with the challenges I set for myself. For me, it’s incredibly motivating and a great way to keep myself accountable.

I am currently using the Lauren Fleshman “Believe I Am” training journal, and I really like it! Though this new one seems like it offers many things that my current journal does not.

Well this would be awesome! I have a plain old boring Mead notebook that I write everything in. It’s nothing cool like this one!

I have far too many journals in my life, but I love them. I’m trying to build a journal to track my health and haven’t sat down to do so yet. But it’s a black leather one!
I love these though. I need to get one!

I currently have a running Log on a spread sheet that I follow. Need a Journal to help track my progress better. I started following Jeff Galloway’s method to help improve my running and follow his running calendar.

I love journals and have recently thought about recording all my workouts! I used to do it 20 years ago and feel like there’s a sense of satisfaction with writing down a workout… Especially when you’ve crushed it!
