The Space Coast Half Marathon is here.
We are taking care of a few last minute things and heading to the expo to pick up our packets. I’m nervous. And excited. And nervous.
I have some big goals in mind, and have been chipping away at them over the last few months, with the help of Stacey and Jen at Empower Coaching.
Here they are:
A. Cross the finish line at 2:30.
B. Hit a PR (anything under 2:37 will do).
C. Finish with a smile on my face.
There is a new phrase I’m using this week: “the hay is in the barn.” I’ve done the work, stuck closely to my training plan (in the past 10 weeks, I think I’ve only skipped two workouts, and modified one or two runs), and put in the miles.
So. Here we go. Year three. Celebrating the third anniversary of my first ever half marathon.
If you are running or racing this holiday weekend, best of luck to you! Let’s see what we can do out there!
