It’s true. I have a love affair with running, and today’s post is my runner’s valentine. With Valentine’s Day on Sunday, I feel like it’s only right to recognize my favorite activity.

Running is there for me.
Any hour, day or night, running is there. It doesn’t matter if I’m sad or angry, happy or anxious. Running is ready and waiting for me, and I am so grateful for its availability.
Running feeds me yummy things.
I know you can’t ever outrun your fork, but when you run, you can certainly splurge on some extra deliciousness from time to time. Feed me tacos and tell me I’m pretty? Running does that for me.
Running takes me to new places.
Travel is most certainly one of my love languages, and running provides tons of it for me. I’ve been so blessed to enjoy racecations in so many new cities and states, and I hope to have the opportunity to do more of that in the future.
Running surrounds me with love.
In my world, running is synonymous with love. From my first 5K, to the present, I’ve met so many incredible people, who provide support, encouragements, and precious friendship.
Any loving words for running this week of Valentine’s Day?

I love how running can be there through all seasons of life. Sometimes it’s just short runs for fitness, sometimes it’s hard training cycles. But it’s adaptable!
