fit girl spring

2021 is flying right along, but before we get to “Hot Girl Summer”, let’s get ourselves in line with “Fit Girl Spring.” That’s right! It’s time to shake off winter, and make sure we are ready for all the adventures and excitement that summer might bring. I’m looking forward to plenty of time at the beach and pool, along with tons of running and hiking, so I need to make sure I’m up to the task. As always, a little self-care goes a long way, so I’m excited to team up with BabbleBoxx to share some of the ways I’m preparing (body and mind) for the fun!

Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar Prebiotic Shots (Ginger Turmeric)

In our house, we regularly drink a tablespoon or two of Bragg apple cider vinegar (mixed with water, orange juice, or just on its own), as a natural probiotic. However, Bragg has gone next-level with their Apple Cider Vinegar Prebiotic Shots. I love that I can grab a ready-to-go “shot” of raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar, mixed with honey, turmeric, and ginger anytime, anywhere. This prebiotic helps reduce inflammation and balance your body, keeping you energized and ready for action! Save 20% off purchases on bragg.com with code BRAGG20.

Intensive Foot Repair + Multi-Purpose Nail Repair from Kerasal

I started a trend of home manicures and pedicures after my ankle surgery, just over a year ago. Sitting at the nail desk was too unwieldy with my boot, and my injured foot was (and is) just too sensitive to be comfortable when handled by a technician. In some ways, it worked out fine, but my feet and heels were missing a little of that TLC a salon pedicure provides.

With Intensive Foot Repair by Kerasal, my runner feet will be beach-ready in no time. Just one application of this exfoliating, non-greasy ointment made a huge difference in 24 hours. I massaged into my dry, neglected heels, wore socks to bed, and within 24 hours, my feet looked moisturized, healthy, and ready for action! It’s clinically proven, but amazing all the same!

On the nail side of things, gels, nail polish strips, and press-on nails took their toll on the health and appearance of my nails. The Multi-Purpose Nail Repair from Kerasal works wonders within a week! It hydrates finger and toenails, clears up discolorations, and makes them thicker and smoother. This is the perfect product for restoring your nails between manicures, and helping them stay summer-ready!

All-In-One and Sensitive Skin Liquid Bandage from New Skin

No one has time for adhesive bandages, especially in the upcoming summer. We’ve got to keep our cutts, knicks, scrapes, and blisters clean and protected, especially when we’re outside or in the water. New Skin’s All-In-One Liquid Bandage (in regular or Sensitive Skin varieties) works where average bandages don’t. The new skin paints on easily, dries quickly, and doesn’t peel off with activity. It comes in handy to cover up blisters from those cute new summer sandals, and can be added to a first aid kit or beach bag for treating small injuries while out and about. Even better, both varieties of Liquid Bandage are 100% waterproof, seal out bacteria, and create so much less waste than traditional bandages.

You can find both varieties at Amazon and Walmart.

Sugar Face Scrubs from Tree Hut

Let’s get our skin beach and pool ready! These Sugar Face Scrubs by Tree Hut are an incredible addition to anyone’s skincare regimen. The natural sugar exfoliants in all four scents help remove dry and flaky skin, while offering a deep pore cleanse. Each variety is made with ingredients designed to exfoliate, brighten, purify, nourish, and hydrate the face.

Nourishing Banana & Oat Sugar Face Scrub, Brightening Pineapple & Papaya Sugar Face Scrub
Purifying Blueberry & Turmeric Sugar Face Scrub, Hydrating Watermelon & Cactus Water Sugar Face Scrub

I started with the Brightening Pineapple & Papaya Sugar Face Scrub – I wanted to get that great cleanse, but also give my face some extra summer glow. As I spend more time outside in the sun, I’ll also be getting tons of use out of the Hydrating Watermelon & Cactus Water Sugar Face Scrub, too.

Beef Sticks from CHOMPS

With summer on the horizon, it’s time to dial in that nutrition. We are a family of adventurers, and spend plenty of time out of the house and on-the-go. Snacks can present a challenge – sometimes we forget to prep anything, and then find ourselves buying treats that are certainly delicious, but not always in accordance with our food plans and goals. CHOMPS Beef Sticks to the rescue!

These grass fed beef sticks are easy to grab and effortless to carry on our excursions. I love that they are full of only the best ingredients. Mr PugRunner appreciates the 9-10 grams of protein and lower sodium, which is totally consistent with his keto-leaning meal plan. CHOMPS leave out the fillers, GMO’s, gluten, soy, dairy, added nitrates and nitrites, MSG, artificial preservatives or coloring, and artificial sweeteners. Use code BABBLE20 on chomps.com to save on your next order of beef jerky sticks!

That liquid bandage looks like a great alternative to the traditional band-aids! A great idea.
