5 reasons to run Best Damn Race Trail (+ a discount code)

August 20, 2021      6 Comments

This week, Best Damn Race announced the all-new, inaugural Best Damn Race Trail, a multi-day relay event in Starkey Park, Florida. That’s right, BDR fans, we’ve got ourselves a camping/racing extravaganza! From April 8-10, 2022, myself and my teammates will be joining the fearless (or FOMO-filled) runners for an epic weekend that promises to be simply incredible.

Trail Relays Are Fun!

And Best Damn Race Trail promises to be next level! Traditional relays are great, but trail relays bring just a little more excitement to the table. Instead of relying on caravans of vehicles, trail relays set up around a common campsite. After their segments, runners can relax, hang out, or meet new people in one location, without the stress of meeting up with the rest of their team on the road.

Best Damn Race Trail Offers Three Race Experiences!

No matter how experienced (or inexperienced) of a trail (or relay) runner you are, Best Damn Race Trail has you covered. Experts can take on “Ultra”, where four teammates cover 130 miles over the 24 hour race period. The Standard Option allows teams of 6-8 people to run the same 130 miles. For those who are maybe a bit newer to trail relays, and would like to skip the night running, the Beauty Sleep Team allows 6 people to run 97.5 miles, with 18 loops divided between Saturday and Sunday.

Not A Camper? Best Damn Race Trail Has You Covered!

We are a camping family, and have the gear and supplies to set us up beautifully for the weekend, if we so choose. But don’t let the camping deter you! For an additional fee, Best Damn Race Trail can set your team up with a cabin or glamping situation. All you have to do is roll up and move yourselves in. Once again, Best Damn Race takes your experience seriously, and wants you to have the best time a their events.

Be Part Of The Best Damn Race Trail Inaugural Year!

I love being part of something new and making it a tradition! New races can be hit or miss but with BDR at the helm I have zero doubts. No matter what, Best Damn Race offers the best race experience around. Every BDR event in which I have participated is well-organized, efficient, safe, and fabulous. Will the BDR Trail in Starkey Park be a “new” race? Yes. But will it be fabulous, and full of the swag and amenities that make Best Damn Races the very best? Also, yes!

This looks like so much fun. Too bad I live so far away.

I love that you do not need a van to drive around. And the beauty sleep option is awesome.

    You will have blast. FOMO

I would be ok running through the night, but also ok getting some sleep. We are going to make this a memorable event one way or the other.

There’s just no way around the sogginess. I’m not a fan, but we did boost our Tuesday miles but just a little, so that’s a plus.

I know I’m not alone on this one! Where are my other humidity-plagued runners?
