Deck the halls and move over Rudolph! We are on the crazy train to the North Pole and the New Year!
My holiday to-do lists are taking shape (because I’m just always adding) and it’s time too really embrace all the holly jolly.

Sunday – 4.95 miles, walking
I was grateful to get in this long of a walk. Usually they are shorter on Sundays, but Mr PugRunner joined me and we detoured halfway through for coffee and a donut.
I wanted to head up to Jacksonville Beach for Deck The Chairs. It’s a public lights installation created around lifeguard chairs, and it’s incredibly beautiful and creative. There’s also a conservation component with an interactive display made of trash collected from the ocean.
We had dinner and drinks first.
Then we wandered over to check it out.
Monday – 4.54 miles, beach + bridge repeats
Was I glad to see the sand back at tithe beach? Yes. Yes, I was. Did I freeze while I was out there? Oh, yes, I did. Was it worth it? Absolutely.
I had to scramble home to take care of some work before I could go get my nails done. I love my nail artist and I love this festive design.
Tuesday – 5.00 miles, running + armpit/braline workout
My Tuesday schedule has changed a little, so I had to zip through my five miles.
And then I had to go catch Taco and run him out to his ride. He was pretty feisty, so it made for a crazy few minutes.
Mr PugRunner and I planned to check out the Light The Way Home Festival of Trees at the Lightner Museum. Local businesses and individuals sponsored trees and wreaths, then put them on display for auction, with proceeds going to the Port In the Storm, one of our favorite charities. The Festival only lasted four days, during the day, so we had to make it happen.
Wednesday – 4.55 miles, walking
It wasn’t a very fun or eventful day. I got in my miles.
I had some custom orders to finish, and I also had to visit the 1928 Cafe for Yelp Elite. 1928 Cafe has two locations and they are both absolutely amazing. This time I had a cafe con leche and a guava pastelito. It was the perfect afternoon pick me up.
Thursday – 5 miles, running + 1 mile, walking
It was a great run. The cooler weather has really made things so much easier.
And then I got my hair done and I was so happy!
Friday – 3.93 miles, running
Check out my new Goodr sunglasss! Aren’t they cute? They are just perfect for this festive season.
I had a PTSO meeting, which ended up yielding me a bunch more orders. I won’t complain about that, for sure!
On the negative side, one of our cars wouldn’t start and had to be towed to the shop. Fortunately, it was just the battery, so easy fix. And then A went off on his last campout before Christmas, so he was gone for the weekend.
Saturday – 10.73 miles running
So the plan for Saturday morning was to go for a long run and then check out the brunch food truck in our neighborhood. As luck would have it, the truck broke down, and we were pretty devastated. Mr PugRunner saved the day by picking up me and J and taking us to Starbucks instead to celebrate our double digits. Yay!
The rest of the day was crazy: we had a birthday party to attend, a dessert event in the neighborhood, and then a dinner date with friends. It was all a fabulous day.
Goal-getting
Things are really gearing up now. There are so many fun events for the holidays, and I want to do them all. This week, I have more Taco work, cookies to bake, a fun photoshoot, some shopping, more orders and wrapping. I also really need to decorate the tree but I’ll get to it!

I am linking up with the Weekly Rundown, with Confessions of A Mother Runner and Running on the Fly! Check them out!
How was your week in training? Any fun events on your calendar?

Tis the season to be busy! Mike and I usually do a holiday activity but I haven’t gotten anything on the calendar! Guess I need to work on that.
Nice job fitting it all in!
Yes! The countdown is on!
Sounds like you have lots of holiday events going on! Enjoy! Great job fitting it all in this week
You know it!
Ooh, it all sound so fun, and I love your nails and sunglasses! You definitely know how to enjoy the season. In a weird coincidence, I had a similar car issue this week. It happened just when my husband was so busy, he was unavailable to help me out (arg!). But it’s all fixed now.
I’m envious of your cooler weather. We’re looking at a week of temps in the 80s down here, sigh!
I do not handle car stuff. That is above my pay grade. We got AAA to the house and then I brought Mr PugRunner to the mechanic to pick up the fixed car. Done and done. I hope this weather holds. A girl could get used to it.
We got spoiled with what I assume is comparable to a “Florida winter” last week. Back to reality now, LOL. My big tree is still awaiting the ornaments…maybe tonight. I still have to get some groceries and do a little baking for a club luncheon on Tuesday. Yes ,it is a busy time…
What a busy week. But a lot of fun things planned. You are embracing the holiday season and getting your walks and runs in.
Congrats on double digits.
Always nice to have so many fun events on your calendar! Those decorated lifeguard chairs look amazing. What a great idea!
Congrats on all your orders. You are one busy lady!
such a busy time of year but I admire how you’re able to fit everything in!
So many fun events! You always do such a great job of fitting so much into your weeks! I love this time of year 🙂
That foggy photo is so cool!
Your hair looks great and your nails are fabulous! I had to draw a line in the sand against work and made a hair appointment for tomorrow. I can’t wait!
You are a busy gal this holiday season! Great running this week. Cute hair- and cute Goodrs!
We’ve got a holiday party and a wedding to attend this weekend! I haven’t been to a wedding in forever, so that will be a treat. Hope your goals and tasks all go fast so you can relax and enjoy the season!!
Your hair looks great! I, too, have cookies to bake and Christmas cards to order and get in the mail!
Just curious if you have an Etsy shop?
