The brunch life with St. Augustine Sailing is one of the greatest experiences the Ancient City has to offer. There is nothing quite like boarding a fully crewed catamaran, sitting back in the salt air, and toasting the day with a mimosa and gourmet meal. Let’s dive in!

Arriving At The Marina
From the moment we arrived at the Camachee Cove Yacht Harbor, our St. Augustine Sailing experience was top notch. On our walk to the vessel, our host pointed out all the different boats St. Augustine Sailing has available, from small sailboats for beginner lessons to large catamarans for private charters and luxury experiences. Each boat was beautiful and well-maintained, and I couldn’t pick a favorite if I tried.
Welcome Aboard
Finally, we reached Wind Dancer, with Captain Chris at the helm.
Wind Dancer is a 40 foot catamaran, with room for six guests, and several crew members. There is a gorgeous outdoor dining and seating area, eat-in galley, three bedrooms and two bathrooms (overnight stays are available!). She is a beautiful ship, sleek and spacious. There is plenty of room to move around and explore, but it’s also perfect for sitting together and chatting with a drink in hand.
What Is Brunch Without Mimosas?
As soon as my feet hit the deck, there was a mimosa in my hand. Heaven. Brunch charters include mimosas and Bloody Marys made with sake instead of vodka (only beer or wine is served onboard). Both were perfect.
The chef had laid out several grazing boards for us. We could choose bagels and pastries with all the spreads, traditional cheeses and cured meats with crackers and nuts, and fruits and sweets. Everything was almost too pretty to touch, but oh, so good.
Additionally, chef had prepared Eggs Benedict with creamy hollandaise, asparagus, and sides of test crispest most perfect bacon ever.
Everything was served on china, with no detail overlooked. The experience was nothing short of decadent, in all the best ways.
Come Sail Away
Introductions made and drinks in hand, Captain Chris piloted us out of the marina and into the Intercoastal.
We spent the next two hours enjoying the absolutely glorious morning: blue skies, low humidity, and just enough sun. Wind Dancer made her way between the Vilano Bridge and Bridge of Lions, so we had plenty of time to soak in the views of the gentle waves, the waterfront residences, and historic downtown.
In between snacking and chatting, we explored the boat, from the quarters below, to the “trampoline” on the bow. It was such a magical way to spend a morning and I admit that future Tuesdays will be just a little less epic going forward.
