Do you have favorite things to do on a run? I mean, sure, there’s the whole running part, but is there more? For me, running comes with so many fun experiences. After all, We have to make the miles pass somehow.

Watch The Sunrise
My favorite thing to do on a run has to be to watch the sunrise. Yes, it means being up early in the morning and getting to a prime viewing location, but it’s always worth it. Seeing the sun come up invigorates me and starts my whole day right.

Pet All The Dogs
I really don’t need much reason to pause on my run, but I will stop for each and every dog I encounter. The worst runs are the ones where I see zero dogs, and the best go into double digits. There are even a few kitties who will let me say hi as well.

Enjoy New Sights
When I have the chance, I like to try new places to run. It could be three neighborhoods down, or it could b ea new city entirely. It doesn’t matter, it’s such a gift to see new things.

Try A Different Terrain
As a dedicated road runner, it’s always nice to switch things up and I love when I can run on a trail or the beach. It’s a favorite treat to myself to make the change.

These are great, especially the first one. That’s why I enjoy walking/running in the dark in the mornings so I’m out there to welcome the sunrise. And the second one… I know far more dogs’ names than their humans’ of the people/dogs I encounter regularly on my outdoor walks. 😉
I know very few human names LOL! I’m ok with that!
I’m all about catching the sunrise, whether it be in the running shoes, on a walk, or even on the bike. It totally invigorates me as well!
It’s such a great feeling.
I also love to watch the sunrise. A benefit of waking up early and getting out there.
