The thing about Florida winters is that they can’t make up their minds. One day it’s broiling hot, while the next is a deep freeze. Mornings may be foggy and frosty, while afternoons are warm enough to hop in the pool. It’s ridiculous. That being said, we are back in a cold front, and I’m enjoying it while it lasts.

Sunday
- Cardio: 4.67 miles, walking
And just like that, I had to say “see you later” to one of my clients. I hope I get to hang with him again, soon. I really enjoy having multiple walks a day, even if some of them are on my own.

Monday
- Cardio: 6.31 miles, running + .6 miles, walking
Happy Monday! A was back to school, and things were back on track. I finally felt good enough for a decent run, and my dog walk was a lot of fun.

It’s now time to turn our attention to the holidays and decking the halls. I’m ready for it. It was also time to go back to the phone store to transfer all my data and bid farewell to my old device! Yay!
Tuesday
- Cardio: 6.33 miles, running + .59 miles, walking
The morning started out a little sketchy with the threat of rain. I was actually debating going to the gym to avoid the precipitation, but at the last minute, I decided to be brave. It worked out well, and I ended up being so glad I went out.

Wednesday
- Cardio: 6.58 miles, walking
I really do love the cooler mornings! This walk was so needed because I had a dentist appointment and needed to walk out the anxiety. No cavities again, but it’s nerve wracking all the same.

After a dog walk, Mr PugRunner and I went to the bank to work on the finishing touches for our estate, and picked up some new lights for the outside of the house. Pickings were slim, but we got some nice ones. I can’t wait to see the house finished.
Thursday
- Cardio: 6.6 miles, running + .6 miles, walking
Another day, another gorgeous sunrise.

I confess it’s hard to get up in the cold and the dark, but the views make it so worth it.
We had a bit of an insane day: we were supposed to go out to a holiday speakeasy and dinner, but our thermostat went out and we had to wait for a technician to come look at it. I was bummed, but also perfectly fine hanging out in comfy clothes.
Friday
- Cardio: 5.46 miles, running + .62 miles, walking
TGIF! I started with a solid run, and then hurried home for my final walk with one of my favorite clients.

A’s girlfriend is home from college, and she hung out for the night, which is always fun. I love a busy house.
Saturday
- Cardio: Spiked Apple 5K
My day started incredibly early with a drop in on the boxers. Since our race had a 9AM start time, I was in a position where I could let out and feed the pups, and still make it to Jacksonville. It worked out perfectly. I picked up coffee, and Mr PugRunner, and we were on our way.
We enjoyed our little trail 5K, celebrated with cider and donuts, and then had brunch onsite at the the little restaurant. It was super cold and windy, but we had fun anyway. I’ll report on the details this week!

We headed home to nap with the pugs, and then to have a family dinner. It was nice.
Thoughts + Goals
And yay! We made it through the week! There were a lot of balls in the air, but we kept them moving.
A few disappointments this week, but we worked through them, and all will be well.
Also, it’s clear I haven’t been back to the gym, but I’m doing a few light workouts at home, and that counts for something.
