Jenn! Where have you been? It’s been AGES! All true. I’ve been absolutely drowning in a little something called Maycember, and I have no idea when things are going to ease. But in the meantime, we’ve had some get togthers with friends, some birthday celebrations, Mother’s Day, and the last day of senior year. Let’s pick things up and keep moving!

Sunday
- Cardio: 4.6 miles, walking
Happy Mother’s Day! I started the day checking in on some clients and going for a nice walk.

I came home to iced coffee and donuts, and then we had brunch with my parents. Mr PugRunner made the most incredible quiche with lots of veggies and a smashed potato crust. So good!

It was a really nice day, and I even got the extra bonus of not having to go out for my last client visit as mom and dad came home early!
Monday
- Cardio: 5.15 miles, running
My Monday started super early as I had an 8AM check in with my bulldog clients. Usually, I just head to their house at 5:30AM, do my run in their neighborhood and then head in to feed them breakfast and start our booking. I would be there until Tuesday evening.

It was kind of a yucky day, so we took a nap and watched some movies.
Tuesday
- Cardio: 4.54 miles, running
The rain rolled in so I had to plan my run between the storm clouds. It was another dreary day and I wasn’t loving it.

I headed home after feeding the babies dinner and started packing my bags. A had his graduation rehearsal that day and it was time to enjoy part of his graduation and birthday gifts.
Wednesday
- Cardio: 4.94 miles, walking
Happy vacation day! Of course, I was up early enough to squeeze in a little fitness walk.

And then we packed up the car and hit the road to Orlando! We checked into our hotel and did a little time at the pool before our dinner reservations at City Walk. Yes, it was a celebration of my birthday, too!

Thursday
- Cardio: 1.25 miles, running
Happy Epic Universe Day! I went for a quick run and picked up coffee while everyone else got ready, and then I followed suit. We had Early Access with our hotel key cards, and Express Passes, so we wanted to get there and make the most of our day.

Friends, we went all day, from rope drop to park close. Literally. We rode every single ride in the park (with the exception of the water-based Fyre Drill in Berk for me because I hate getting wet). We saw one of two shows and I met Toothless and Hiccup!

We had mac and cheese in garlic bread cones and ice cream to beat the heat. For dinner, we got a reservation at a delicious Pan Asian restaurant, and we waited for ight to see all the beautiful lights. My favorite rides were Hiccup’s Wing Gliders (in Berk), Monsters Unchained (Dark Universe) and Stardust Racers (Celestial Park). I disliked Dragon Racer’s Rally (Berk), Mine Cart Madness and Yoshi’s Adventure (Super Mario World). To be honest, I did almost zero research, but we just went with the flow and had wins all day long. It’s a gorgeous park and I would love to go back just to really get the chance to take it all in.

Friday
- Cardio: 1.93 miles, walking
I can’t begin to tell you how exhausted we all were after our Epic Universe day. But there was more fun to be had. Our plan was Volcano Bay, so we loaded up our towels and hopped on the bus, after a little walk and breakfast.

I don’t love water parks, so my plan was to camp out on some chairs, read my book, and enjoy a tropical drink. I checked off all three, and even took a few spins in the lazy rivers.

It was back to City Walk for dinner, and then to the rooftop at Bar Helios to enjoy some dessert with a view of the fountain show in Epic. Stunning.

Saturday
- Cardio: 2.28 miles, walking
Departure day. It’s always sad to bid farewell to vacation. I slept in a little bit, but I wanted to stretch my legs before hopping in the car. Instead of sticking around the hotel, I jumped on a bus to CityWalk and got a change of scenery.

Oh, and as a fun bonus, I finally got to see A’s new apartment (the model, at least). I haven’t been a part of the housing hunt, so it was really nice to see where he will be spending the next year, at minimum. He has all his roommates settled and we are waiting on move-in day in August. It’s really nice, in a great location, and I hope it’s a wonderful experience.
And then we made it home. We unpacked, collected the pugs, did laundry, and hit the couch.
Thoughts + Goals
We have one more push: graduation, a few more house sitting bookings, and then our nephew’s wedding in North Carolina. It’s all going to be great, so we are takit it one day at a time and trying to enjoy it!
How was your week in training? Are you battling Maycember?
