I can’t believe that 2021 is now half over! At least in Runfessions time. Isn’t that wild?
For this month’s trip to the runfessional, let’s join up with Marcia’s Healthy Slice…
I runfess…
That I logged fewer miles than I would have liked this month. Summer camp, oral surgery and an extraction did me in. That’s not to say I wasn’t active (I always try to be active), but it wasn’t as directly productive as I prefer. Oh, well.
I runfess…
That I am addicted to Goodrs. I did so well holding off on purchasing several new styles, but I couldn’t resist the newest Dunkin collaboration. I now own two pair of Dunkin themed glasses and I couldn’t be happier.
I runfess…
That Scout camp was harder than I thought it might be, but also amazing. We went to a camp outside of Atlanta, and stayed in a primitive campsite (that means “latrine” and no electricity). I slept in a tent, on a cot, under a mosquito net. I ate camp food, and we dealt with dehydration and heat exhaustion. That being said, it was so incredible, and I don’t know what took me so long to volunteer to go. I know next year will be even better, and I have so many thoughts and ideas on how to improve the experience for everyone.
I runfess…
That I have found some super cute bathing suits from Cupshe and I just love them. They are available on both Amazon and the Cupshe website, and they are inexpensive and flattering. It can be hard to find a cute bathing suit, and I just love my new ones.
I runfess…
That I need a pedicure something fierce. My feet got torn up at camp (I even got a blister on my toe and that never happens!) and I think it would be amazing to get things professionally handled. That being said, I haven’t been to a mani/pedi place since the pandemic started, and I think I would be so uncomfortable the whole time. I know it would be good for my feet, but I don’t know when I’ll be ready.
What are you runfessing this month?

This month has been my slowest in years – basically just not running much and skipping long runs. Things will get better when I actually have a race to train for.
I too am Goodr obsessed. I want every pair. I am trying to hold back.
So happy that camp was such a good experience that you want t repeat it. Not running would bother me but at least you could walk.

Ooh! That suit is cute. I’ve been coveting the ones at Summersalt but haven’t pulled the trigger. I don’t wear a suit much and I already have some.
Props on the camping!! I haven’t done any real camping in a while!

Great to hear that you enjoyed Scout Camp! It sounds like it was tough at time but that the overall experience was great and that’s the most important thing!
I was just telling my sister that I need to get a pedicure. I’ll probably try to get one next week.

That swimsuit is adorable! I have not heard of that brand.
I am in desperate need of a pedicure, but not quite sure I’m ready to hit a nail salon either.

Oh I seriously love that bathing suit (actually, the whole outfit)– super cute! And I had to giggle reading about the Scout camp, because it sounds like when I went to basic training and had to sleep outside for the firs time. 🙂

That is a cute bathing suit! I’ll have to go to their website, although I hesitate to order a swimsuit online.
I think between the oral surgery and scout camp you can be excused from some of your running miles for the month. Actually scout camp sounds way harder than running!

I’ve always done my own pedicures (but have splurged a few times on “real” ones at a salon). My feet are horribly ticklish, so that’s always a bit of a discomfort LOL That said, ugh. My feet definitely need some TLC…

Seems like scout camp should at least count for a marathon, right? Don’t be so hard on yourself–you are superwoman in my eyes!

A friend & I were just discussing mani/pedis. I’ve never had a pedicure & donplan to start. Massages though .. . . missing them! Maybe it’s time.
A few weeks with less activity won’t kill you. It’ll probably do you good!

I really need a pedicure too. I’m in the same boat, I haven’t had one since March (or so) 2020. A new nail place just opened up nearby and I keep saying I’m going to try it but it hasn’t happened yet.
I really hate bathing suit shopping. Maybe I should try online. Your suit is really cute!

That is a cute bathing cute! I have one that I like a lot but haven’t worn it in over a year. I also want a pedicure. I am just waiting for the right moment. Maybe when I am done with school? I am sure camp was an experience!
