October means Pumpkin Spice Latte season in the coffee world. So here we are, ready for another Ultimate Coffee Date.

After reading here, head on over to visit Coco and Deborah, our awesome link-up hosts.

Over coffee, I would tell you…
That ZOOMA Amelia Island is just around the corner and I’m kind of excited. I haven’t had a racecation in forever, and this will come at a perfect time. Yay. I hope the running part goes well, but I know the rest of it will for sure.

Over coffee, I would tell you…
It’s BANDTOBER. From what I understand, this means that my next six weeks are dedicated to marching band. We have football games, competitions, and all sorts of volunteer opportunities. I love it. Our first competition was postponed due to Hurricane Ian, but we will make it up. Because of rain and weather, we haven’t even seen the whole show in uniform, so we are hoping to at tomorrow night’s game. Fingers crossed.
Over coffee, I would tell you…
That I had my training for poll worker training and secured two spots to work early voting, and my own precinct for general elections. It’s pretty exciting. Now I know more what to expect and am ready for action. I saw some familiar faces and it’s going to be good.

Over coffee, I would tell you…
That the weather has made everything so much more tolerable. It’s still in the 80s during the day, but mornings and evenings are cool and pleasant, and perfect running weather. I am feeling incredibly energized, and that helps.

Over coffee, I would tell you…
That even though our weekends are basically double booked, we are still finding time to enjoy the spooky season. I made this spooky charcuterie board for a get together and it really got me in the mood.

What would you share over coffee? Are you ready for spooky season?

Have fun at Amelia island. I wish I lived closer. Zooma races are the best.
It’s cooler here too but those dark mornings and evenings depress me.
Yes. I have a Halloween race on Oct 15 and bought all my candy. I’m ready.
Oh yes, I am ready for spooky season! Our weather has also cooled down a LITTLE- 80s during the day and it’s gotten down to 70 a couple times overnight. Still looking forward to some true fall weather!
Next week our middle schoolers are playing with the high school band for the football game- I can’t wait. And then next year my daughter will be in high school- I’m excited for it. It is a big time commitment, but the kids love it.
Amelia Island is definitely on my radar. Hope I make it to that race sometime. Have a great time! Love the charcuterie board
I really should do that race in Amelia Island some time but the fall is always so busy here.
I’ve been seeing your creations on IG and they look so good!
Your board is spooctacular!
LOL on Bandtober. I’m sure it will be a lot — I hope it’s a lot of fun.
Good luck with Amelia Island.
Your charcuterie board is cute! We don’t get into the Halloween thing much anymore since all the kids have vacated. I don’t decorate much, but we do hand out candy (though we don’t get many kids in our neighborhood). I am craving a good costume party, though!
Aww, I hope you have a lot of fun! Hope the weather is great tonight as well!
That charcuterie board is adorable and perfect for the season!! <3
<3 thank you!
Your charcuterie board looks terrific – you are so creative!
I think it’s great that you are working the polls!
Good luck with the Zooma race! I think that would be a fun one to run at some point. Looking forward to hearing all about it!
I haven’t run it in a few years. The course and the ownership has changed since then, so I’m excited.
Have a great time in your Amelia Island! That charcuterie board is cute. I am not creative at all and I enjoy looking at everything you put together.
Aw. It was delicious. I want more cheese.
I always vote by mail! But I am grateful for people like you who work the polls, especially in these tumultuous times.
Your charcuterie board is adorable! you are so creative!
I haven’t voted by mail in a while. I want my sticker.
It’s really a great gig and I’m happy to do it. It is a paid job (which makes me happier), but they need the help.
