I can’t believe we are here in the last two months of 2022. How did this happen?
After reading here, head on over to visit Coco and Deborah, our awesome link-up hosts.
Over coffee, I would tell you…
That I am working my butt off at the polls. I had a few 12 hour days this week and will work Election Day on Tuesday. It’s exhausting, but I am so honored to have the opportunity.
Over coffee, I would tell you…
That as a result of early voting, I broke my run streak. I was so close to 500 days, but I was also so physically worn out. Am I disappointed in myself? Heck, yes. But I’m starting from Day 1 and getting right back in there.
Over coffee, I would tell you…
That this was the weirdest Halloween ever. We had a great time at our party, but Monday was bizarre. A went to trick or treat with a friend with a “costume” he created from his closet. We have no pictures. I walked around with a friend and her three littles, took zero adult beverages and made no fun themed meals. I’m bummed but Mr PugRunner has been unwell and I just didn’t have the energy to do anything.
Over coffee, I would tell you…
That we are celebrating 16 years today. Happy anniversary to us.
Over coffee, I would tell you…
That I am kicking butt at Planksgiving. I hate planks, but this challenge has me going strong.
What would you share over coffee? Planks or no?

FOMO. I’m planking too.
Happy anniversary.
I voted early. Kudos to you working the polls. Your streak was impressive. Will you start another?
Little kids are so cute for Halloween but they get older they lose their enthusiasm.
runswithpugs says
LOL at your FOMO.
Yes, I’ll start on Wednesday. I don’t want to stress on Tuesday, when I have to be at the polling place at 6AM.
Marcia Kadens says
I voted early as well and I’m glad to have it checked off my to-do list. Good on you for all your hard work. I’m not quite sure what kids do for Halloween anymore since both of mine are no longer interested and we only got one bunch of kids at the door despite beautiful weather. Happy Anniversary!

Thank you!
We didn’t get many kids. I was down for leaving a bowl of candy in the driveway, but Mr PugRunner insisted on manning it. That’s fine.
Kimberly Hatting says
Great job on the planking! My Planksgiving gig is going well, too…I added a 30-second Chaturanga to the mix last night (yikes!).
runswithpugs says
That’s a LONG chataranga! Well done!

I voted early to avoid Tuesday’s madness. I think it’s great that you’re working the polls.
You inspired me to jump on the planksgiving bandwagon.
Happy Anniversary!
runswithpugs says
Perfect! I voted Monday! It’s so important!
Welcome to the planking nightmare!
Wendy says
Not planking this one…I’ll do push-ups but holding planks for a long time really bother my back! Good luck with the challenge.
Stay safe at the polls!
runswithpugs says
Pushups are awful. So are planks, though LOL.
I’m not too worried. I dealt with a few aggressive people this week, but my home polling place where I will work on Tuesday is fairly low key. I avoid the hot spots like the plague.
Jenny says
Happy Anniversary! I hope you’re out celebrating.
I voted this week and I thought about you. Thank you so much for volunteering- those are long, hard days.
Glad you’re “enjoying” Planksgiving. I know yours is a hard one- I’m just doing regular planks for the month.
runswithpugs says
Thank you! We had dinner out, and then spent the night at our high school football game. Just to watch the band 🙂
As much as I appreciate the love, I do get paid to work as a poll worker. I don’t think I could do it for free.
Erica @ Erica Finds says
Happy anniversary! We hit 20 years on 11/16.
Thank you for all that you’re doing volunteering! It’s hard work but so necessary!
You should be so proud of your streak. These things are meant to end but you did well over a YEAR! That’s awesome.
runswithpugs says
Much as I would like to say I’m that much of a volunteer, we do get paid as election workers. Not a ton, but it is a trained and paid position.
And my goal was a year, so I’m happy.
Zenaida Arroyo says
Happy Anniversary! Great job on your streak! It isn’t easy so be proud of it.
runswithpugs says
Thank you!
Coco says
Bummer on your run streak, but IMHO your voting work is more important. 😉 I’ll be voting in person on Tuesday. I don’t think any of my local elections will be close, but I’m anxious over others.
Sorry Mr. Pugrunner wasn’t feeling well for Halloween — I hope he was feeling better for your anniversary.
runswithpugs says
He’s ok. It’s allergies and sinus infections and all that jazz. Ugh.
Chocolaterunsjudy says
I’m sorry Mr. Pugrunner wasn’t feeling well & Halloween wasn’t what it’s been.
Bless you for working the polls.
And Happy Anniversary!
