Over coffee, I would tell you…
That we had the most amazing Wind Ensemble concert last night. We have three more concerts: the school Spring Concert, MPA States, and an MFA Invitational concert. Every time I hear them play, they just get better and better and better. I actually got goosebumps last night.
Over coffee, I would tell you…
That speaking of band, the marching band had their Leadership Camp last week, in order to interview and “audition” for leadership positions. A has been talking about becoming Clarinet Section Leader since marching season ended last year. The list came out on Sunday night, and guess what? He and his friend earned co-leader! It’s a large incoming group (at least 11 students), so they needed two. They are both so thrilled and ready to do the best job this year. I am bursting with pride, and can’t wait for next season!
Over coffee, I would tell you…
That somehow, I forgot to share my newest nails. They are perfect for spring. Leonidas loves them, too. Or he just thinks I have food.
Over coffee, I would tell you…
That we got to try a new biscuit place, and it was phenomenal. It’s been hard getting out to new restaurants, so when I have the chance to do it, I am all in.
Over coffee, I would tell you…
That it’s Easter weekend, and it’s been tough to get in the spirit. I’m grateful for two days off, but I’m still dragging. I honestly just want a day to sleep in. Like really sleep in. But between meetings, appointments, and everything else, it’s just not going to happen. Oh, well.
What would you share over coffee? How was your April? What holidays are you celebrating?

Big congrats to A – that’s exciting! My son’s spring concert is coming up this week and I can’t wait. I’m always amazed at the talent of these kids.
I so feel you on wanting a day to truly sleep in – I keep wishing, but I think until I can take a vacation I see it happening. Sigh…

You have the best nails… I get mine done but stick to French..
April should be better than March… trying to get back into running but playing it safe.
I’m Jewish and my hubby is Catholic but neither one of us is very religious. I get to celebrate both holidays.

Congratulations to your son! That’s exciting. And how fun that he and his friend are co-leaders. My daughter has a bunch of end-of-year concerts coming up and I’m looking forward to them (the last concerts of middle school!)
I love your nails, as always. I’m not allowed to wear nail polish at my job- I know. Don’t become a massage therapist.
I’m working today and tomorrow but can sleep in on Sunday- I’m looking forward to that! I hope you get some time to relax this weekend.

Congrats to A! That’s so exciting he gets to co-lead with his friend! We’ve got a wind ensemble concert coming up Monday night. I cannot wait! Cute nails!

I am not a biscuit person but my husband would love those! Your nails are super fun. Enjoy! Have a great weekend ahead

Woohoo, congrats A on the band co-leader gig!! That’s huge. How exciting! I hope you have a very Happy Easter and enjoy some great weather!
Wendy says
I am working tomorrow and I am on call all weekend, so yeah. But what’s so odd this year is that my boys are both out of town, as is my FIL and my sister. So Easter is just me and the hubs and my parents. Very weird but it’s ok.
Glad to see your son is doing so well with all his activities!
Coco says
Congrats to A! And how great to be co-leading with a friend.
OMG those biscuits look amazing!
Kimberly Hatting says
Congrats to your son, that is so exciting! Sleeping in? I’m well overdue (but had a slight indulgence Wednesday morning and was almost late getting to work).
