Another month, another coffee date. Can you believe we are down to only three more of these for the year?
After reading here, head on over to visit Coco and Deborah, our awesome link-up hosts.
Over coffee, I would tell you…
That we came through Hurricane Idalia just fine. Of course, we are devastated for those who were crushed by the storm, and hope that the recovery and rebuilding process moves quickly. Our county did give the kids a day off from school, so we just chilled at home and watched Jim Cantore and friends in action. It’s like a snow day, but with wind and rain.
Over coffee, I would tell you…
That I took advantage of the most recent Brooks sale and ended up with the most obnoxious pair of Adrenaline 22s yet! I haven’t even photographed them yet – they showed up on our Hurricane day, of all days and it was too wet and dreary to take them for a spin. I can’t wait to show them off to you all! I also got some more cute tank tops. I love the Brooks Distance 2.0 tanks, so I am snagging them when I can.
Over coffee, I would tell you…
That we have a fairly epic weekend planned! We are going to the Taco & Tequila Festival with a bunch of friends. We went last year and had the best time, so this year will be even better.
Over coffee, I would tell you…
That I STILL HAVEN’T DECIDED if I’m racing on Labor Day. I mean. I always try to. And I skipped August. We don’t have any plans for Monday, so I’m on Team Why Not? I will decide for sure tomorrow.
Over coffee, I would tell you that…
I have been sticking to good habits. I’m back to reading every night, and I’m keeping up with strength workouts every day, even if it’s just my short daily circuit. Go, me!
What would you tell me over coffee?

Well done for sticking to those daily habits – those habits always seem so small but they make a world of difference! Can’t wait to see the “obnoxious” pair of Adrenaline 22s! I wonder if we got the same colour?! 🙂

Probably! These are pretty… vibrant!

runswithpugs says
Thanks! I opted out due to my toes hurting 🙁
Marcia says
I’m glad Idalia spared you! Many of the schools we went to for college tours seemed to be in her path, although I think they all fared well. Have so much fun at the fest!
runswithpugs says
She moved, fast. I’m not sure if she passed by any colleges, but they did close a lot of schools out of abundance of caution.
Michelle says
Way to go on your daily strength circuit!
Your weekend plans sound like so much fun!
And you know I can’t wait to see your new Brooks 😉
runswithpugs says
I KNOW! I want to make aa reel, but I’ve been busy.
Coco says
Yay for good habits! I was doing good with my evening routine before my trip, but jet lag did a number on me. I need to be better about going to bed instead of falling asleep watching tv!
So glad Idalia spared you.
runswithpugs says
Come Tuesday, I aam back on!
Chocolaterunsjudy says
Great job sticking to your routines! I guess the routine of the school year starting is good for you.
Glad Idalia wasn’t a big deal.
If you race! Good luck!

It’s the best event in town, in my opinion!
