Yes, it’s a very warm welcome to the October Coffee Date, and I am so glad you’re here. October is, by far, my favorite month, and I would love to celebrate it with all my blogging friends.
After reading here, head on over to visit Coco and Deborah, our awesome link-up hosts.
Over Coffee, I Would Tell You…
That I really haven’t gone out for coffee in quite some time. There is a new place by my house, a new local chain sprouting up, AND a new coffee food truck in St. Augustine, and I have visited exactly none of them. What is wrong with me? I really do love coffee and I was hoping to spend more time checking out some of these places, but it just hasn’t worked out with my schedule. Sigh. This might have been my last fancy coffee… back in July.
I Would Also Let You Know…
That is is now Bandtober! This is the heart of marching band season, and we have a packed competition schedule. Bizarrely, we are all done with home football games for the season (literally, our last four games are away), which kind of makes things easier for the band, especially with all their travel. I am so excited for their first real performance tomorrow. They’ve worked so hard and it’s going to be an incredible night.
On A Spooky Note…
My Halloween costume is selected and on order. At first, I was going to be Barbie (because who doesn’t love Barbie), but I changed to Wednesday. Honestly, Wednesday is way more my vibe, and I hope the dress works out. Last year, we attended a big adult Halloween dance, and we’re doing the same this year. It’s got a head(less) banger theme, so Mr PugRunner likes dressing up like old rockstars… it should be fun.
But Also, It’s Fall Y’all…
Bandtober is very much interfering with pumpkin patches and other fall-related activities, so I’m doing my best to make it all work. There just aren’t enough hours in the day, and that’s alright, but also, this is my favorite time of year, so…
The Last Thing I’ll Say Is…
I’ve got a race tomorrow and it’s felt like so long. I’ve run this race before, but it’s in a new location and that’s always difficult. The parking situation isn’t fabulous, so I’m going to get there super early so I can have my choice of spots. I will be running and zipping home immediately so I can volunteer at the band show, so it’s going to be a long, great day.
What would you tell me over coffee?

Oh, if that Wednesday is the one I think it is, that’ll be a fabulous costume!!!
October can be a fantastic month, although these first few days of it hasn’t offered the weather I’d like to see.

Have fun at your pink race. Good luck!
Michelle says
Love the idea of dressing as Wednesday!
October is my favorite month too! Sounds like you have a busy one. HAve fun with your race!
Darlene S Cardillo says
How fun a race!!
Wednesday will be great… can’t wait to see it. Barbie will be so overdone this year.
Since I still work from home, I only splurge when I don’t. Love the fancy Starbucks coffees.
Debbie says
I had to look up how you would dress as Wednesday – all I could think of was hump day. LOL I’ve never watched the Adams Family and now I know that Wednesday is a character from that show/movie.
Enjoy your race this weekend! Sounds like a busy, but fun day!
Marcia says
Look how cute you both are in your costumes! Have fun with Bandtober and your race!
Coco says
Good luck on your race tomorrow! I always overthink logistics and arrive way early, but I’m too stressed until I’m at the venue.
Can’t wait to see your Wednesday costume!
Jenny says
Ooh, good luck in your race! Have fun. I know what you mean about this time of year- things don’t really ramp up for us until November, but then I’m always going back and forth between feeling too busy, and trying to remind myself to enjoy it all.
We still have some home games, and our matching band doesn’t do competitions. That’s why October is only semi-busy for us and not crazy busy. Good luck to A and the band!
Deborah Brooks says
Have a great time at the race this weekend. Things are definitely ramping up over here too and October is my favorite month as well followed by November. Your costume sounds fun! I need an adult costume party!
Farrah says
Aww, that sounds like fun! I haven’t dressed up for Halloween in ages, but I might dress my pets up, haha.
I hope you have/are having fun at the race!
Chocolaterunsjudy says
