Tis the season of LOVE, and I would love to share five things to love about working out. If you are a reader of this blog, you know that running and working out absolutely fill my cup. Here are the reasons why!
I love…
The feeling of accomplishment when I work out. I was never a particular athletic person in my younger years, so it’s pretty exciting to do things like run long distances, lift a new weight, hike a mountain, or paddle board a new waterway. There’s really nothing better than knowing you can conquer something new and intimidating and I wouldn’t trade that for the world.
I love…
The people I meet along the way. The fitness community is a tight knit one, and I am always so grateful for the friends and acquaintances on this journey. In fact, running has brought me so many friends, all over the country (and even the world), and it would be so cool to get to actually meet them all at some point.
I love…
How great my body and mind feel after an amazing run or gym session. There is nothing that compares to that feeling of excitement and exertion. I can’t help but be over the moon when a run or race goes well, and that’s absolutely something to love!
I love…
Challenging myself to do new things. Before I got into a great workout routine, I was nowhere near as adventurous as I am now. However, now I am so much better prepared to face new challenges and overcome obstacles. It’s a great thing.
I love…
Feeling healthy! It’s no secret that being physically active is an important component in overall wellness, and this is one benefit I absolutely adore. I feel like if I can get some fresh air and get my heart rate up on the daily, I’m doing good things my future self will absolutely appreciate!

All of the same.
I’m new to working out. And I don’t really it but there are so many positives that it brings me.

I’m new to it, too (August, I think). It’s not my favorite, but it’s part of the routine.

Yes to all of this! I don’t always feel like doing it (well, I’m always up for a run but I usually don’t feel like lifting weights) but I feel amazing afterwards. And I understand that it’s the way to stay healthy as we get older.
i love all your exuberant photos in this post!

I love to run always, but some days it’s hard to drag myself out.

Yes to all of these reasons! Working out has become so ingrained in who I am I could not imagine not doing it.
