Another month in the books, which means it’s time for our July Coffee Date. You know I’ve got my iced coffee in hand. What are you drinking?
After reading here, head on over to visit Coco and Deborah, our awesome link-up hosts.
Over Coffee, I Would Tell You…
That I had several fun coffee drinks this month. As you can see, one of them was hot… a cafe con leche from this wonderful Cuban bistro I love. I think it’s the only hot coffee drink I consume! Of these, my favorite was probably the iced blueberry latte (second from left). The blueberry flavor is delicious, but I also love raspberry syrup in my coffee.
I would also share…
That I finished the #StreakingWithTheCOOLKIDS challenge! While I was streaking prior to June, and will continue to streak after, I love digging in for one month, to walk/run/job one dedicated, consistent mile a day for an entire month.
With Coffee In Hand, I Would Tell You…
That this month has started with a BANG. Literally. The 4th of July isn’t my favorite holiday, and the extra stress this week/month is solidifying that for me, big time. It was a lot with Mr PugRunner out of town for the Stanley Cup parade, A being a new driver, and everything else happening. I’m holding it together by a thread, and I hope we get a break soon. Of course, I took myself to the beach to decompress.
If We Were Having Coffee, I Would Share…
We ordered the most adorable charcuterie wine glass covers! Even though it’s hot AF outside, I love the idea of having a little wine and snack on our back patio with all the lights and the view of the water. These are so versatile, and it becomes a happy hour all in one place!
My Final Coffee Thought Is…
We are gardening again. I honestly hate it, but Mr PugRunner has been doing great things with peppers, arugula and basil, so we got him a raised planter, added in some Everglades tomatoes, and got some pollinator plants. It’s challenging with the heat and the storms, but I think we are making progress. Is this how we become homesteaders?
What would you tell me over coffee? Are you a gardener?

We had a “salsa garden” for several years, and it was nice having all those tomatoes on hand. We also had a few varieties of peppers as well. The cherry tomatoes were my favorite, but not many made it into the house (I nibbled on those while picking the others). The weeds, though, we’re a nightmare…

Ooh I like those charcuterie plates on the wine glasses! So fun! Congrats on finishing your streak which I know was not easy with the heat

I wish the weather was conducive to fun coffee drinks! Mine are still the standard warm ones.
Well done on your streak! I’m still on mine too!
I am glad you took some time for yourself during some stress!
Nice snack glasses! Very clever!
Loving your garden! We are also trying to keep up with ours – it’s hard with it raining all the time. I’m missing some green in some places where it’s really bare.

I’m not a gardener and didn’t even put flowers in our pots this year. I do keep my Aerogarden going. 😉
Those little plates are so cute! I got devoured by mosquitoes yesterday so I’m dining inside for a while.

Yeah, I’ll bet the pugs aren’t big fans of the fireworks! People in our neighborhood have been setting them off for days, last night was insane, and now I’m just waiting for them to start again. The cats are not happy.
I’m impressed that you guys have a garden! I’ve tried in the past, and managed to grow some thing in the winter but I’ve never had any summer luck. I would be thrilled if my husband wanted to take over the garden though.

Ooo, I wanted to go to the beach but didn’t feel like making the drive. I ended up hanging out in the city for a while with a friend and it was much cooler there than inland, so that was really nice! :]
I keep hoping that I’ll someday be a successful gardener but this is not my year. Maybe one day when I’m working part-time…

Those coffee drinks look yummy. Those wine glass covers are adorable. You need to tell us where you got them.

Amazon! They have different ones but these were perfect for our wine glasses!
Marcia says
Congrats on a successful streak! I’ve actually been considering the possibility of running just one mile (at least) per day on the treadmill. We’ll see about that. The beach sounds like the perfect place to decompress. Hope things smooth out for you soon! I am a gardener. A professionally trained Master Gardener in fact. I don’t do nearly as much as I used to because who has time? But I love it!

I am none of those things, but I’m super excited to see the start of two tiny tomatoes! I wish I understood the whole system better, but I will just try and see what happens.

Those wine glass covers are adorable!
Congrats on your streak – I was unofficially streaking in June until an early heatwave sent me scrambling for indoor workouts.
