Welcome to April, and I plan to head into this month as caffeinated as I can be.

After reading here, head on over to visit Coco and Deborah, our awesome link-up hosts.

Over Coffee, I Would Tell You…
That March was BUSY! So busy. Wildly busy. Between petsitting and travel and meetings, I haven’t had a chance to catch my breath. It’s all really great things and I’m grateful for it. But I could also really use a nap. We will get there.

I Would Also Tell You…
That I spent about 12 hours in the kitchen with my amazing mother, cooking meals to freeze for the future. It was a super hard day, but it was incredibly productive. And best of all, we were able to break into the stash this week when Mr. PugRunner wasn’t feeling well, and it saved me so much stress and work! Winning! Highly recommend!

Over Coffee, I Would Share…
That summer is very much here. When I went to the March To Get Screened 5K this past Sunday, I was pretty sad to see that we were in for super high humidity. It really isn’t very encouraging. Winter, I guess I will see you next year.

While I’m Having Coffee, I’m Going To Share…
That A is in his last quarter of junior year. What? How did that happen? He has so many cool things coming up, including two big wind ensemble performances, prom, and his 17th birthday! Things move too fast.

With Coffee In Hand, I Would Tell You…
That I am really ready for life to calm down a little. It would be nice if things weren’t always so hectic and frantic and crazy. I am so ready for just some more chill and less hurried moments.

What would you tell me over coffee?

Jenn, I know- high school goes SO FAST. After this quarter my daughter will be halfway done (WHAT.) You know what else went fast- the winter. Yep, it’s hot and humid again and I’m not happy about it.
The medal for that race… I think it’s the best medal I’ve ever seen. I would display that prominently!
I hope you get a nap soon!
It’s just wild!
And yes. I miss winter. It’s awful.
If you are ever free in March, come on up and run! You, too, can have your own poop medal!
High school years do go by so fast! Gotta enjoy the crazy time while it lasts. It really does help to have meals prep for those crazy days!
I hated the cooking in the moment, but now that it’s done I’m super glad.
Oh my gosh A looks so grown up in that picture! The time really does fly, doesn’t it?!
That’s great that you did all of that meal prep with your mom. I need a day to do that – time well spent!
I hope you get some time to slow down a bit.
He’s like a full man! What???
It was a hard day, but my mom is an efficient cook and we got so much done. Highly recommend.
A was in kindergarten when I first started reading your blog, so yes, time does seem to have flown by!
I really need that race medal, especially with how I’ve been feeling since surgery and then developing ileus. LOL
Oh my gosh! He was a baby! How has it been that long?
It was a great medal. They used to just use their official logo, but now they have embraced the poop. I also have a poop shaped ice pack.
It’s crazy how fast the HS years go by. FYI, college goes even faster. While I do miss the hustle and bustle of all the activity (and it was REALLY crazy with three kiddos), it is nice to have it behind me. I’m glad I took a lot of pictures and was an avid scrap booker in their younger days 😉
Wow! Your son sure has grown up! That was “fast!”
My March was crazy busy, too, so I’m slowing it way down. I hope you’ll be able to get some rest, too!
I’m glad! Get some rest!
Ahhh, time really does go by quick! High school felt so slow by looking back on that (and on college) now, it definitely feels like I blinked and it was over.
Last month definitely felt like it flew by—there’s so much stufff I gotta do that I haven’t gotten around to doing yet!
Right? Isn’t it wild?
OMG, A looks like such a nice gentleman in his suit!
You did have a busy March. It’s been really humid here the past fews days. The air is thick.
That medal!!

Wait til you see him in his tux! My heart!
How is your son already a junior? Oh my, college is coming up soon. What did you make with your mom? I can imagine how all of that work came in handy. Rest up, dear friend. Yes, life is short but we should also relax and take it easy.
I DON’T KNOW AND I DON’T LOVE IT!
We did banana chocolate chip muffins, greek chicken meatballs, chicken parmigiana meatballs, and a chicken tortilla casserole. I have to make breakfast burritos too but I just don’t want to.
A has gotten so handsome and yes I remember reading your blog and he was so young.
I used to batch cook on Sundays but not lately. I’ve gotten lazy.
It is still cold here off and on and we may even see some snow this week.
I don’t want to cook again at all. I’m going to be by myself a lot this week and I am planning to live on “girl dinner” – cheese and crackers and whatever I can scrounge up.
