And there it is. Another month closing out on the march to 2026. I say it every year, but honestly, where does the time go?

For this month’s trip to the runfessional, let’s join up with Marcia’s Healthy Slice…
Let’s Start By Runfessing…
That Halloween decor is starting to show up on my runs and I am so here for it! I still have to put out our own lights and decorations, but I haven’t had a moment to make it happen! I’m feeling a little more motivated now!

Next, I’ll Runfess…
That I am DEEP into soup season. I don’t care that we are still seeing days in the 90s, I am all about the soup, stews, and chilis. Even better, I felt like filming some of my cooking again, so I’m uploading recipes on the blog! Amazing how the fall brings in the urge to make and photograph delicious and beautiful food again!

Next, I’ll Runfess…
That it was good to re-enter the racing arena. I don’t love where my pace is at, but that’s ok. I’m totally working with it, and figuring out where I need to improve, and how. It’s definitely challenging coming off a down period, but purpose makes things better and I’m ready to ride this wave!

My Next Runfession Is…
That this time next week, our actual band competition starts and I couldn’t be more excited! For some reason, the intro to the season feels like it’s dragging, and I just want to see these kids out on the field, in full dress uniform, absolutely rocking it!

Finally, I Would Runfess…
That we are gearing up for some travel before the year ends! I love that for us! I think that travel is one of the best things in the world, and I’m always happiest when I’m out and about on the road!

What do you have to runfess? Where’s your next travel destination? Anyone else seeing Halloween decorations on their runs or bike rides?

Hmm! I haven’t seen any Halloween decorations yet, and that’s just wrong. Of course, I haven’t put up any either. I have my fall pumpkins out but I’ll do Halloween next week.
Yay for travel! I’m looking forward to a short trip next month to see my son. Where are you guys going?
Now I’m craving chili…
OMG I love chili sooooo much! You would love the one we just made: it’s vegan apple and lentil! Delicious!
we went to a Halloween pop up bar last night and I was so happy! We just booked a ghost tour and a harvest tour, and we are off to Indy and Orlando (where we will do some more Halloween things).
I haven’t seen any Halloween decorations on my walks yet – and I runfess that I don’t do much any more.
Travel is the best! Looking forward to hearing where you’re headed.
Oh, it’s my favorite holiday/time of year! Im more excited about now than Christmas!
I don’t really decorate for Halloween but I do enjoy when others do.
I haven’t started on the soups… not cold enough yet.
And pace. I don’t care if I improve… as long as Ican get to the finish line.
Unfortunately my hubby hates to travel…. Luckily my friends do like to. Lake Placid in 2 weeks and Florida in December.
totally went looking for Halloween decor last weekend, was completely disappointed. it’s not much of a thing here but I won’t give up, I’ll keep looking for something that matches what I have in my head!
I so want to make soup soon! it’s colder here already! I’m loving the soup options at work but now I need to do it at home too!
looking forward to hearing about your travel plans!
I’m actually surprised that I haven’t seen a lot of Halloween decorations out yet. I’ve seen some pumpkins on front porches, but not many Halloween specific items.
Can’t wait to see where your next trip will take you! Our next trip will be to the Smokey Mountains in mid-October. 🙂
Well, I’m in denial of the changing seasons, LOL. Thankfully, it still feels like summer here, so the thought of soups is far,far from my mind at the moment 😉
Your soups look great! I have a pot of chili on the stove right now, although the heat here just won’t quit. It’s 87 degrees again today. Not complaining but not very fall-like either. I haven’t seen any Halloween decorations here yet, other than a few pumpkins on the doorstep. Have so much fun with band competition season! We’re headed to Atlanta in a couple of weeks to visit our daughter and I can’t wait!
Halloween is definitely becoming more popular in Australia. This would have to be the first year i am seeing advertisements on the TV for it.
