Happy New Year’s Eve! We are counting down to midnight, and also counting for all the cool things we did this year! We have some stats to share that are super fun!

Running Miles
Survey says: I ran 1079.22 miles in 2025! Whoa! That’s even a little more than I expected. I had zero goals set in stone, and while I like to say I am going to log 1000 miles every year, it’s always a nice surprise to meet, and exceed, that!

Walking Miles
My walking grand total was a whopping 901.2 miles! And that’s on dog walking as a career! But seriously, I walk quite a bit and incorporate it into my workouts and life. It’s a great form of exercise on its own and I will pretty much always choose walking as the best way to get from Point A to Point B.

States Added To My Challenge
In 2025, I added two states to my Run In 50 States Challenge: Mississippi and Indiana. I have my eye on some possible contenders for 2026, including Missouri, Vermont, and New Hampshire, but we will have to see where the year takes us!

Shoes Worn
You know I can’t turn down a good pair of shoes, and this year, I ran in six different pairs. Of course, I am all about the Brooks Adrenaline GTS, and got another new pair for Christmas. I took them on a test drive when it was too dark to photograph, but they are gorgeous and I can’t wait to share!

Books Read
I am closing the year with 36 books read. No, I didn’t come close to meeting my 50 book challenge, but I think I will achieve it in 2026. Book club has helped tremendously, and I am on an upswing. Right now, I have two books on my TBR pile and am expecting a third from a holiday book exchange!

Races Run
While I always aim for at least one race per month, this year ended with ten races. Not my typical, and I’m not thrilled with it, but that’s ok. There’s always next year, and I’m already starting to fill up the race calendar.

Clients Watched
In my first year of officially being a pet sitter, I worked with 52 clients! Most of them are dogs, but I also worked with cats, and even a parrot and an eyelash gecko! They are pretty much all my favorites, and so many of them are repeat clients. I am so glad I took a chance on this!

What do your stats look like for 2025? Anything you’d like to work on for the new year?
