And it’s March! The third month of the year! It’s another busy one, so let’s pull up our coffee and chat about it!

After reading here, head on over to visit Coco and Deborah, our awesome link-up hosts.

Time for coffee! I’m still sticking with my cold brews with cold foam!
Over Coffee, I Would Tell You…
That I am really glad to be skipping the Gate River Run this year. It’s one of the largest races in our area, and the largest 15K in the US, so it’s one I love to do. I’ll be taking on the Best Damn Race Orlando with Meghan, instead, which is incredible in itself. But this year, construction on the Jaguars stadium and surrounding area is changing everything about the Gate, including the expo location and parking. It’s stressful enough in normal times, but these changes are throwing everyone for a loop. I’ll be back next year.

I Would Also Share…
That we had some real excitement over here this week! We are having our house power washed, patched, and painted, and it’s obviously been quite the process. The pugs hate every second of it, and they are out of their minds. Well, Mr PugRunner let them out for a romp in the yard and forgot to check the gate. Long story short, the two of them went on quite the adventure. Leonidas even decided to take a dip in the lake! They were not remorseful in the least, and I am just so grateful that the gator out back wasn’t in the area (although Leonidas was pretty crushed to have an unscheduled bath). Needless to say, they are on leashes for the foreseeable future.

With Coffee In Hand, I Would Tell You…
That Spring Break is almost here. We don’t have vacation plans, exactly, but we will be going to The Players golf tournament, a St. Patrick’s Day celebration, and the boys will be apartment hunting for A for next year. It’s going to be fun, but also pretty emotional!

If We Were Having Coffee, I Would Share…
That we are planning our 20th anniversary trip, and that’s been pretty fun. We are staying kind of local because Mr PugRunner found tickets to one of his favorite bands and I think he should absolutely get to see them perform, but we are still going to splurge on some fabulous resorts and activities. You know I’m always good at finding neat spots and adventures, even when close to home. Will I be able to work in a race? We’ll see.

My Final Coffee Thought Is…
That we have A LOT coming up in April and May. A will turn 18 at the end of April, and then it will be my birthday, Mother’s Day, and graduation, back to back to back. We are trying to navigate the celebrations and events as best we can, but it’s pretty overwhelming. The good news is that we have a little celebration trip already booked, so now we can fill in the rest. It will get done, but wow the timing is something.

What would you share with me over coffee? What are you loving this month?

Ahh, construction/course changes are a lot of unnecessary stress. I hope you have fun at the Orlando race instead + hope everything’s fixed up/ironed out for the Gate River Run by next year!
The poor pugs!! Our across-the-street neighbor is redoing their entire roof so Tofu was having a field day today, haha.
So much to look forward to for you! It definitely does sound hectic but I hope it won’t be too stressful! <3 (It sounds like at least they're "good"-type of stresses? :D?)
I’m excited to see how your plans for your 20th anniversary turn out! Having a race to celebrate sounds like a great idea!
Oh my goodness- A is turning 18, he’s graduating, AND you are apartment hunting for him- that is a LOT! lots of emotions, for sure.
Yes, you’re good at finding local things to do! I have no doubt you’ll have a fun anniversary celebration.
I’m laughing at the pugs “adventure.” Yes, they need to be in “leash jail” for a while!!!
Sounds like you have lots of fun and milestones coming up! Looking forward to seeing all your celebrations.
Oh my gosh thank goodness the pugs didn’t encounter a gator!
You have so much good stuff coming up – it will be a lot but also so much fun! Enjoy every moment 🙂
Sounds like you’re going to be busy.
And with some exciting things.
Can’t wait to hear all the details.
Oh, wow, apartment hinting for A. Wow!
I’ve gotten picky about races. I definitely wouldn’t want to do with a hassle.
Glad the pugs didn’t get too far from home. I don’t know what Scooby would do if he got out.
Spring is inherently busy, especially if there are kids involved:-) We barely stayed sane with golf, dance recitals, tennis, spring concerts, three graduations and prom. Oh, and I may have also had a few “me” things as well. It’s a great opportunity to embrace the caffeine!
Happy early 20th anniversary to you and your hubby! I’m sure you’ve found the perfect spot to celebrate and I do hope you’re able to squeeze in a race during your time away. Enjoy the weekend with Meghan!
Thank goodness Mr. Gator was elsewhere and Leonidas stayed safe during his time playing in the pond!
defo looking forward to hearing your 20th plans! I always love a good trip for an anniversary or birthday 🙂 speaking of which, indeed you have a BUSY period coming up, hope you’ll also find some zen moments in between as I think you might be needing them!
