Yup, the -ber months are here, and even though it’s neither cool nor crisp, and we don’t get the seasonal changes in leaf color, I’m pulling up to the runfessional to unburden myself.

For this month’s trip to the runfessional, let’s join up with Marcia’s Healthy Slice…
Let’s Start By Runfessing…
That we are the proud owners of a poseable skeleton! I’ve been trying so hard to convince Mr PugRunner that we needed a big, 12′ skelly for our yard, and we compromised on a 5′ tall one! Eeek! He’s getting the driveway and front porch power washed, and then i can set her up as part of our spooky display! I’m so excited!

Next, I’ll Runfess…
That I’m super in love with our new car. Who knew that six years between models would lead to such big and noticeable changes! For one thing, she’s significantly larger (of course, with the current gas situation, that may not be a great thing, but electric nor hybrid was in the cards for us due to lack of infrastructure and my terror of fires). She’s got wireless charging and she’s just fun to drive. It’s the little things.

My Next Runfession Is…
That travel makes me equal parts excited and anxious. We are coming into a particuarly busy patch of adventures, and I am so stoked about getting to check out so many cool things… but that gets tempered by nerves about logistical delays and making sure everything goes smoothly. I wish I just didn’t have those feelings. I can move through them, but there’s a knot of trepidition in my stomach when it should all be anticipation.

I Runfess…
That all my mums are dead or dying. It’s not intentional. I feel like if they are available in the store, they should thrive at home. Apparently, that holds true in other climates, but not necessarily here. I really would love to have a service come to absolutely deck out my porch, but unless the company uses fake pumpkins and plants, they are all just going to rot and die in the heat. Not cool.

Finally, I Would Runfess…
That I almost put down a bid on another business. Not too many details but the price was amazing, it would have tapped into my creative side, and it was all turnkey with clients, contracts, and inventory. The thing is that I can’t do it alone, and my plate is already heaped pretty high. I was bummed because opportuntiies don’t come along every day, but saying no is definitely valid when you’ve got too much going on.

Do you have anything to runfess? Are you part of the wilting mums club?
