Of course, I have to make sure that my training is getting back up to speed, and there’s no better way to do that than with a great group of runners.
On Sunday, Kristin and I invited some ladies to take a 3.1 (ish) mile run and then come back to enjoy some chilled chocolate Muscle Milk Light for recovery. We had planned a little bit more of a scenic route, but the area had experienced really awful thunder and lightning storms until about two hours before the run, so we switched it to a location where we had some shade and cover and a place to hang out and chat while waiting for everyone to make it back.
It worked out great.
The weather did end up cooperating, and the group did great.

We all chatted some more about the ZOOMA half marathon and 5K in January, and I have to say, I cannot wait for the big day to arrive. I was dragging a little, but seeing so much excitement and enthusiasm for the sport and for the upcoming event really gave me a huge boost.
