Who doesn’t love gorgeous, instagrammable walls, especially in the city you’re visiting or in which you live. St. Augustine, for all its history and beauty, is home to some incredible murals, created by talented artists. We’re going to show you how to find these local gems!
Wings at Woodpecker’s Backyard BBQ
Wings are my favorite kind of wall art, and this rendition is the perfect complement to the block wall at Woodpecker’s Backyard BBQ. Woodpeckers is, inarguably, the best BBQ in town, and this homage to the ancient city makes it that much better. The red, black, white, and gray design highlights some of Old Town’s most well-known landmarks is perfect for posing, but also hides a game. That’s right: as you wait for your table or to-go order of brisket and cole slaw, you can seek for hidden pictures from the list painted right on the wall. So cute!

Flamingos at The Local St. Augustine
This newly renovated boutique motel is taking St. Augustine by storm. The vintage pink building has a nostalgic vibe, but features all the latest amenities (like contactless check in and check out, bike rentals, and access to Anastasia Fitness). It’s pretty as a picture, so it only makes sense that St. Augustine’s newest wall art should be here. Nothing says Florida quite like flamingoes and sunshine, and this piece is just the perfect retro addition to the building.

“Love Is The Answer” at Rochelle’s Clothing
Covering the entire side of St. Augustine’s iconic clothing boutique, is a gorgeous display of color and movement. The clothes and jewelry are eye-catching, but the beauty is outside as well as in. Owners Tom and Karen Rochelle commissioned the piece from a long-time customer, and together, they created this astounding piece of art, which highlights that universal and unifying theme: Love. Can you see it?

Art Wall at Sarbez!
To be honest, the entire Sarbez! building is a work of art, inside and out. Known for its gourmet grilled cheese, games, and craft beer, this eclectic location is a treat for all the senses. Check out the gorgeous spaces, and stay for the food, pinball machines, and live music. You’ll be glad you did.

Mermaid at Electric Chair Tattoo
This beautiful sea nymph graces the side of the Anastasia location of the Electric Chair Tattoo Shop. She lingers beneath the surface, her hair trailing in the waves. If you look closely, you can see the delicate tattoos on her skin. This was the perfect use of a bare wall at the end of a retail strip and it’s truly a visual pleasure.

Wings at Pink Stork
Can you ever have too many wings? I think not. These delicate wings rise up in contrast to a hot pink warehouse wall, creating a gorgeous piece of art, just waiting for photos to be taken. Upon closer inspection, you can see that there are elements of the city of St. Augustine woven into the design. It’s stunning.

Greetings From St. Augustine at Fried Chicken Kitchen
On the back of the Spencer Upchurch building is the most perfect, postcard-esque art wall. It’s retro and it’s so very Florida. Grab lunch at Fried Chicken Kitchen food truck in front and then walk around the back for a gorgeous photo opp!

Rochelle’s has been there since 2016 I believe. The others are all in the last three years. Some of them are a little off the beaten path, but now you know where to look!
