This is it! It’s December! Time for all the holly jolly festive fun!
After reading here, head on over to visit Coco and Deborah, our awesome link-up hosts.
Over coffee, I would tell you…
That my neighbor is working for the newly opened Bitty & Beau’s and I had the privilege of visiting this week. Bitty & Beau’s hires differently abled people to work at their coffee shops, and declares themselves “radically inclusive.” You know I bought that coffee mug. My iced peppermint bark latte was absolutely perfect, and I was so happy to see her in action. They have a really lovely work space in their shop, so since it’s a hike, I plan to return with my laptop so I can enjoy my iced coffee and get some work done at the same time.
Over coffee, I would tell you…
That as soon as I got home from Thanksgiving, I had to do some decorating and I made the cutest little hot cocoa bar in the kitchen. Peep the pug mug. I couldn’t resist.
Over coffee, I would tell you…
That we had the best Thanksgiving ever. Seriously. We had a nice, relaxing break with beautiful weather, holiday lights, great friends and good food. I would do it again in a heartbeat!
Over coffee, I would tell you…
That we had the craziest Hallmark Christmas movie moment in Georgia. We have been talking about a relocation after A graduates, and look at what turned up on the front of the menus at the place we stopped for breakfast! I wanted to hand over a check right that second.
Over coffee, I would tell you…
That we got breakfast club going again! It’s been way too long! The ladies and I all have flexible schedules, so we were able to meet at my house on Wednesday. We had Winter White Mimosas, french toast casserole, breakfast buschetta and sausage balls. It was lovely to just have a festive meal and conversation. PS. The theme was Frost & Flannel.
What would you share over coffee? Any holiday plans?

Looks like your thanksgiving vacay was just what you all needed and a perfect change of pace for you. So are you going to purchase a diner?
runswithpugs says
I really wanted it. I felt like it was a sign.

So many fun things happening in your life.
Good for you.

I too had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend with my fam. We want to relocate to Wisconsin, but we have to wait for the hubs to retire. We need his insurance because i have medical issues. So we’ve got about 4 more years. Sigh…
runswithpugs says
We have some time, too, but it can’t hurt to look. We have independent insurance since Mr PugRunner owns his business, so really, we are flexible.
Jenny says
Interesting… are you thinking of moving to Georgia? Because we’re also toying with the idea of relocating… eventually. We’ve got another year longer than you till our daughter graduates from high school. I can’t go too far north, and we don’t have any family in the south… so basically I’m open to suggestions.
I’m glad yourThanksgiving was so nice and that you’re fully embracing the festive season- enjoy!

Have you checked out the Blue Ridge area? It’s really pretty, but not a huge temp difference (at least not for us). Personally, I would go all the way to Canada, but not everyone is on board with that idea.
Farrah says
Aww, Bitty & Beau’s sounds like a great place!! :]
That hot cocoa bar is so cute! Glad you had an awesome Thanksgiving — are you gonna be heading off to Georgia? :O!!
runswithpugs says
Georgia is on the list. There are many drawbacks, but there is also a lot of room for solitude so maybe I can make it work.
Kimberly Hatting says
We’re going through the re-location dilemma at the moment, as well as needing a major down-size in living space. That coffee shop sounds like a great establishment! I’d love to have one of those in my neighborhood.
runswithpugs says
I want a little downsize, but I still need space apart from people, even in my own house. Like I literally need my own room LOL.
Michelle says
I’m so glad you had a great Thanksgiving! Sounds like it was the break you needed!
Your breakfast club get-together sounds wonderful!
Do you want to stay south when you relocate?
runswithpugs says
I do not want to stay south at all, but Mr PugRunner doesn’t want north. So I will go as far north as I can get. I’m not sure I’ll be able to get into NC, so North Georgia might be it.

You know we are on the hunt to find where we want to move to! GA is a bit too far south for me. Not a fan of heat & humidity! I hope you find what you’re looking for.

The climate is a compromise. Mr PugRunner doesn’t want it too cold, and the Blue Ridge area is just about 10-15 degrees cooler overall, with lower humidity. I’m taking what I can get.
Coco says
That sounds like a really cute coffee place with a great mission!
Your family photo is gorgeous!
Happy holidays!
runswithpugs says
It’s an amazing mission! I am so happy for them!
Zenaida Arroyo says
OMG, if you lived closer I would join you for breakfast!! Winter White Mimosas? YUM!!
Debbie says
You’re thinking about relocating eventually… how exciting and I can’t wait to follow along on your hunt for the perfect place!
I love your hot chocolate bar, how cute. I just bought the perfect flannel pj bottoms for the Frost and Flannel breakfast (at Target). Of course, you wouldn’t have been able to find me if I had lain down on the table. LOL
