Over the last few weeks, I’ve had the opportunity to test out the fun (+ function) of Crazy Compression socks. I stopped wearing compressions socks entirely after I broke my ankle (the ones I wore were just too tight on my hardware), but I did miss the feeling on my calves and arches. It was exciting to get to try them again, and I was quite pleased with the fit, feel, AND flair.

About Crazy Compression
Crazy Compression offers compression socks and sleeves, as well as “active” and lifestyle socks, at a competitive price point. Their socks and sleeves range in levels of compression, but all are designed to promote circulation to avoid swelling, soreness, fatigue, blood clots, and even varicose veins, in the lower extremities. This is critical for athletes, pregnant people, people with medical conditions, and anyone who spends a lot of time sitting or standing. Leg health is important (after all, they support us day in and day out), and Crazy Compression does what it can to help wtih that.
Choosing The Right Crazy Compression Socks
After much consideration, I made my selection from the the Crazy Compression tall socks. Of course, Crazy Compression has plenty of “crazy” colors and patterns, so I wanted to take advantage. I chose two more generic options, as well as a Christmas sweater pattern that will get plenty of use for holiday runs (not pictured, because it’s not the season!).
Rating The Sock Quality
I was very pleased to see that the colors were bright, the patterns clear, and the material soft and good quality. Crazy Compression socks are crafted of Stay Cool Nylon (and a little bit of Spandex), with graduated compression. This means the pressure of the fit lessens as you travel up the leg. With that said, the fabric had a nice weight and texture – not too heavy, and not too thin. They were just right!
The Fit Of My Socks
I had an easy time measuring myself for the socks, but I did order a size up. The neuropathy in my right foot makes super tight compression challenging: my foot cramps when trying to get it on, and the squeeze becomes painful after wearing. To avoid this, I just went bigger. I have long legs anyway, and there was still plenty of compression to experience.
Uses For Crazy Compression
Back in the day, I would run in compression socks and sleeves, but now I prefer them for recovery activities. It’s just too hot (for me) in Florida to wear extra accessories. Instead, I have been testing them out for stretching and yoga purposes, and they are working well. My legs have been very tired lately, and I notice a definite improvement when I slip into some compression after my workouts. I can even see wearing them to leg day at gym if I’m experiencing soreness.

I have several running buddies who love using compressions socks – they say it speeds up their recovery.
I really need to try them one day, especially for long runs!

These look fun! I have lots of compression socks that I’ve had for many years but I dont wear them as much as I used to. If Im training hard I might stick them on once in awhile but usually I will just wear them in the spring or fall when it’s not quite warm enough for shorts.

I used to wear compression socks but once I discovered compression calf sleeves I’ve never gone back.
These are cool but I prefer to wear my own socks.

I’ve never really loved compression socks- like you, I just don’t want to put another hot layer on my body while I’m running. I do have a pair someone gave me- maybe I should try them for my calf.
I do like the cool colors and patterns of these socks!

I love the socks you chose! So cute! I’m glad you found a compression sock that works for you. I haven’t been wearing them at all for a few weeks. It’s just too darn hot.
