Tis my favorite season: September and fall! And it’s not a moment too soon!
After reading here, head on over to visit Coco and Deborah, our awesome link-up hosts.
Over Coffee, I Would Tell You…
August was a challenging month. Between back to school, the deer accident, and two long-term pet sitting gigs, I’ve struggled to fit everything in. Ultimately, this leads to a super stressed out and agitated Jenn and I hope that this weekend starts a bit of breathing room for me. Maybe.
I Would Also Share…
That I haven’t been able to visit any new coffee shops this month. I love to be able to at least try one new place before the next coffee dates comes. Unfortunately, time has not been on my side. So here’s a car selfie with coffee.
With Coffee In Hand, I Would Tell You…
I would tell you I am so ready for fall. My current sitting gig ends this week, which means this weekend is time to pull out the boxes and really start decorating. There are so many cute DIY ideas on TikTok and Reels, and I want to have themed movies nights and dinners, as well as check out the pumpkin patches and houses. Sigh. I love this season.
If We Were Having Coffee, I Would Share…
That band season is truly here as well, which is in conflict with my fall lover season. We have a fantastic show this year and I am so excited for competitions to get underway. They are so much farther along in technique, skill, and presentation than they were at this point last year. I love to see it and can’t wait to see it all come together.
My Final Coffee Thought Is…
That I am feeling a bit restless and stuck at the moment. Yuck. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, I really need to take action. I feel like I can get some deep cleaning and purging done over the next few weekends to help declutter my physical and emotional space. That might be the thing that needs to happen. Of course, more miles will be part of the answer, too.
What would you tell me over coffee?

August was a whirlwind month for me. Actually, most of the dinner was. But here we are, football season! I’m not ready for fall, but football makes it bearable. I hope things mellow-out for you & your weekend allows for some relaxation.

I’m not the biggest football fan. We went to the Hurricanes game last week. Last night, our high school game was almost lightninged out and we did NOT stay.
Darlene S Cardillo says
Hope things calm down for you in September. I fee for you on the de-clutter. I just rather do anything but!!
Enjoy fall… I’m looking forward to the leaves changing. I hope we have a pretty one this season.

I just want the boys to leave for a day so I can clean. I don’t know if that will happen, but that’s the hope.
Erica @ erica finds says
I love fall! It’s my favorite season and it’s usually gone in a blink.
I hope the band season goes well and that you have time to de-clutter and feel more settled.
runswithpugs says
I think it’s going to be a productive week!
Jenny says
Jenn, I’m right there with you- I love fall! I’m not quite as crafty as you are, but I’ll be putting out my (store bought) decorations. And, football! Our high school team has had away games the last couple weeks, but next week is homecoming and I will be there!
Hope September is a calmer month for you, and you get to enjoy the season.
runswithpugs says
I am really not digging on football too much, but it will be on in the background. I feel bad for my husband… he has no one to watch with. I need to figure that out for him.
Our homecoming is October 5, and I’m going to miss it.

I hope A’s band has a great season!
Decorating for fall popped up on my calendar earlier this week, but I haven’t had a chance to do it yet. Perhaps I can do it while watching football tomorrow afternoon. Hope you can find time to do it this weekend as well.
runswithpugs says
I do, too! They look so good.
I am using this weekend to try to get a bunch done.
Deborah Brooks says
I think you have one of my traits -the one where you always say yes to things and then get overwhelmed. I used to do this when my kids were still in the house and I have stopped now (for the most part) and it’s very freeing! I can never keep up with the clutter!
runswithpugs says
Probably lol! I love doing the things, though! That’s the hard part. I always try to make things fit because I have terrible FOMO and there are so many cool things to do.
Zenaida Arroyo says
I wish I lived closer to you so I can join you for your themed movies nights and dinners!
runswithpugs says
You are always welcome! I wish I had more people who loved to partake in my silliness!
Coco says
I am feeling the itch to do some cleaning out, but not enough to actually do it yet!
Enjoy band season!
Marcia says
Enjoy the extended spooky season! Whatever brings you joy, right? My fall decor boxes are out and decorating is in progress! No pumpkin patches are open around here yet but soon!
Michelle says
I love Fall! I’ve been feeling the need to do some purging too, especially before the holidays.
I hope A has a great band season – enjoy it!!
