On this first Friday of December, let’s
After reading here, head on over to visit Coco and Deborah, our awesome link-up hosts.
Time to get our coffee on.
Over Coffee, I Would Tell You…
That I got to try a new flavor of espresso martini: peppermint bark! We went to one of my favorite Christmas pop up bars to experience their Christmas Vacation set up. They offered a flight of espresso martinis in a “Jelly Of The Month Club” box, in addition to their other cocktails, and while I wasn’t down for a flight, I was very much in for that one drink. Coffee isn’t just for mornings, am I right?
I Would Also Share…
That I am embracing all the fun of the winter season, which means new holiday nails for me! I really do enjoy my nail appointments, especially when we get to work with a theme.
With Coffee In Hand, I Would Tell You…
That we did another awesome holiday activity: checking out the famous Nights of Lights from the Fury St. Augustine! We were guests on the Fury catamaran a few weeks ago, but this was even better. Our tour ran from 5-7PM, including sunset, live music, AND the lights. Whoo! We even saw dolphins in the water!
If We Were Having Coffee, I Would Share…
That while we were on the boat, Mr PugRunner took notice of a man in a large group. He kept telling me that he recognized this man, and after him pondering over it for a good few minutes, he realized it was a retired Jaguars player, Paul Posluzny! Paul was incredibly gracious to chat with us and even took some photos.
My Final Coffee Thought Is…
That I am thrilled to be back to cold weather running! It just feels so great after a very hot and humid spring, summer, and fall. I know it’s not as “bad” here as far as snow or ice, but we are still seeing mid 30s in the morning, and that is chilly! I am savoring every second of it!
What would you share with me over coffee?

It was so lovely!
And I’m sure you are absolutely thriving in these temps!

You’re fitting in some really fun holiday adventures! How cool to meet the retired Jaguars player!
I had standing every two week nail appointments for over 15 years and while I loved the results, I was not a fan of sitting for 45 minutes to get them done.
Enjoy your cool weather!

It was really neat. It’s part of a much longer story about how he was on the team when A was little and we had met him before and really rooted for him and a few of his teammates, but he wouldn’t know that and it was a long time ago LOL.
I am able to get my nails to last 4 weeks. They use a builder that really makes them strong, so my nails are technically all natural (no tips unless I have a really bad break). I also have a dedicated nail artist who is appointment only, and works in a space with just her mom, so even though it’s a time suck, it’s also fun to hang out with them. My hair stylist works out of the same space as well, so it’s nice to have everything right there. Plus, their prices are phenomenal!

I’m also loving the cooler weather! We don’t get 30s down here, but it got down to 49 one morning and it felt amazing.
I know who would love that martini- my husband. He LOVES drinks like that. I might even like it, and i don’t usually like martinis. I love all your holiday-themed activities!

I love espresso and espresso martinis. It’s a weakness lol! My other drink was an old fashioned, that was also delicious.
