In order to have a productive year of running in 2025, we have to do the work. So let’s see what we have lined up for the new year.
Plan My Race Calendar
One thing I want to do is set up a race calendar for the year. I’d like to see the tentative Bandtober calendar before we really start digging in to where a half marathon will fit in for me. And our initial summer travel plans might need a bit of a revamp (we were looking at Niagara Falls and Toronto, but flights are high for when we want to go, so we will see if we can adjust our dates or pick something else).
Create A Community With Accountability
One thing I’ve really wanted to do is build a community with accountability. The truth is I get distracted if I don’t have it all planned out and I always feel like I’m hopping into things late. So I did a little prep and created a bingo game for January. If it works out, I’d like to do one each month on Instagram. The goal would be to complete the bingo card, and share the activities you marked off. I’m still finalizing the “rules” and procedures, but here’s a sneak peek at January’s card.
Continue Connecting Through Blogging
Even though blogs are changing in all kinds of ways, I love the act of sharing and writing. This year was, perhaps, my most consistent and successful year of blogging, and that motivates me to keep pushing. I co-host several linkups and we have our topics in place for Tuesday Topics and Fit Five Friday! These will be posted on the above linked page, with some new graphics, and we are so happy to do it again this year! Don’t worry! The Runners Roundup will also be back every Wednesday! Connecting through blogging helps me stay motivated in my running, even on days when I just don’t want to push through, and I’m grateful for all the wonderful people I’ve met through this journey.
Keep A Positive Attitude
No matter what, keeping a positive attitude is the thing that helps me get it done. I am most productive when I’m in the right head space, and so that’s where I need to keep myself. In 2025, I want to hold fast to my goals and my intentions, and that will absolutely manifest itself into a good year of running.

What a fantastic idea with the bingo card! I love how you’ve thoughtfully balanced a variety of topics in the challenge, focusing on both physical and mental health.
Also, thank you for keeping the Tuesday Link-up (and the other link-ups) going! Building a supportive blogging community around health and fitness is such a brilliant way to stay accountable while making like-minded friends.

I’m glad that there’s still a bunch of us who still blog! It can be tough when they’re not as popular as they used to be but in alot of ways I prefer it over IG. Looking forward to seeing all the great things you do in 2025!

I don’t have many races planned for the year. I have a few issues I need to deal with then I hope to start planning. These are great tips to help get people started for 2025
