We’ve got two months left for the rest of the year. The truth is I’m not super excited for the upcoming year, but I am very excited for all the festivities ahead. It’s really my favorite time of year, and I hope to create some special memories with all my favorite people. However, before we do that, let’s dive into our November Coffee Date!

After reading here, head on over to visit Coco and Deborah, our awesome link-up hosts.

Time to get our coffee on!
Over Coffee, I Would Tell You…
That I found the coolest app: ReciMe! I am notorious for finding amazing recipes on social media, saving them or sending them to people, and then forgetting all about them. This app allows you to upload those recipes directly from your social media and store them in one place. You can even create “categories” in which to save the recipes, which is pretty awesome. I started with the free plan, which gives me eight recipe uploads per week, but the paid subscription allows for unlimited uploads, and also helps create shopping lists, and other cool things. It’s working out great for my holiday cooking plans.

I Would Also Share…
That A has the flu! After a super intense weekend with the last football game of the season, senior night, an all day practice, an exhibition performance, and his girlfriend being in town, he finally succumbed to the ick. He’s on meds and resting comfortably, but what a way to come down from a huge weekend.

With Coffee In Hand, I Would Tell You…
That even though I’m staying at a client’s house, I’ve undecked the house from Halloween already. It wasn’t hard: I just wrapped up a few strands of lights and tombstones every time I went home for something, and now it’s that weird in-between time before I can really go all out with the Christmas cheer.

If We Were Having Coffee, I Would Share…
That we had a surprise visitor this week! Our back gate has been broken, so the pugs have been going out on leashes. Well, when Mr PugRunner took them out one night, they were all shocked to see another dog in our yard! Turns out, he wandered over from our neighbor’s house! Fortunately, he was caught quickly, and his family collected him and it was just a huge adventure for all.

My Final Coffee Thought Is…
We celebrated our 19th anniversary on Tuesday! Again, crazy! We celebrated with lunch on the day, and an outing to the Capybara Cafe on Thursday, and will have dinner together tonight. There wasn’t any time for a dedicated trip this year, but next year we already have some plans in the works.

What would you share with me over coffee? What are you loving this month?

I’m excited for the festivities this time of year too! And that recipe app sounds amazing — I used to use Pinterest for recipe management, but now it’s a mix of that, screenshot, saving on social, etc.
How wild to see another dog in your yard! Glad it all worked out!
That recipe app sounds just perfect for me too! I will check it out. Happy anniversary to you both!
Happy Anniversary!
That recipe app sounds like just what I need – thanks for sharing!
Ooh! That app looks so cool! Thanks for the tip.
I hope A feels better!
Happy anniversary!
We have friends with a doggie door in the fence between their neighbor’s yard because they and their dogs are such good friends.
I hope A is feeling better soon.
Happy anniversary! Next year will be a big one and deserves a very special trip!
When I saw the picture before I read that you’d visited the Capybara Cafe, I immediately thought that you had some very interesting new clients. 🙂
That recipe app sounds very cool!
So it is 100% legal to own a capybara in Florida. Wild! I would absolutely sign up to sit for one!
Before I really thought, Mr PugRunner bought a ticket to the Rush concert in Tampa, so our trip will include a pit stop. I am happy to stay in the hotel, but that’s his all time favorite band, so… we will make the most of it.
Ooo, that app sounds awesome! I have so many recipes (way too many cookbooks) I keep meaning to try making. I’m glad you found something that works so well for you! (I may need to check it out too…)
I wanna check out that capybara cafe!! They’re so cute. <3
Sorry to hear that he has the flu but really hope he's feeling better and that you're all staying healthy!
Happy anniversary + hope you go somewhere super fun next year! :]
The app is really great. It’s a wonderful way to organize since my husband and I forget how we send certain things to each other.
The capys are the cutest.
He is doing much better and I’m so grateful. No one wants the flu.”
