run-a-versary & blog-a-versary extravaganza: runnerbox gift box

February 27, 2014      35 Comments

This is a sponsored post. I am a RunnerBox ambassador and receive my bimonthly boxes at a reduced rate. RunnerBox will also be providing a complimentary gift box  for the purposes of this giveaway. All opinions are my own.

Here we are. Day 4 of these fantastic run-a-versary and blog-a-versary giveaways. I hope you all are having as much fun as I am.

I am really excited about today’s giveaway: a gift box from RunnerBox!

What is a RunnerBox, you ask?

Simply a fantastic concept, where, every two months, a goody box is delivered to your doorstep.

It looks like just an ordinary box.

But appearance can be deceiving. This box is chock-full of awesome.

First, an inspirational and motivating quote to get you going.

Peel back that lime green tissue and discover a wealth of great products to try.

contents may vary

Every month’s box is different, but loaded with things to try: from hydration mixes to snacks to fuel to recovery supplements, to apparel.

contents may vary

Each item is listed and described on the enclosed green card, so you have all the information, and there are coupons included for those things you want to try again. In this particular month’s box, I was a huge fan of the sport Chapstick and chocolate Energy Beans. Also, I love the SnapPea Crisps and need to stock up on those soon.

I’ve also gotten some great items. like headbands, lock laces and hair elastics. Just little things I might have wanted to try and never thought to pick up. Plus

Want to give this great box a try? All you have to do is enter below to win one RunnerBox. It’s the same drill as all the other giveaways this week – it closes at midnight EST on March 1 and I’ll select a winner through random.org.

You can also order your own bimonthly subscription, using code RUNPUGRB for 10% off your order.

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Our other giveaways are still live and running, too! Check them out, if you haven’t already!

  • Two entries to The Flavor Run in Nocatee on 4/5.
  • Box of Runs With Pugs’ favorite fuels.
  • Two entries to March to Get Screened 5K at Jacksonville Beach Fishing Pier on 3/9.

Some of those items have been in my Stridebox– I guess I’m the odd man out on the Energems, I thought they tasted terrible. The SmartyPants were tasty but I’m not a supplement person. My favorites have definitely been the lip balms and the lights/reflective, since I’m always looking for new ways to make myself super-visible when I have to go out running in dusk/dark. It’s also a nice way to try out new hydration mixes, gels, and bars because I’ve received stuff that my local places either don’t carry, I wouldn’t think to buy, or are usually sold in packs/sizes too large to “risk.” I love my stridebox but I’m always curious about Runnerbox’s stuff– I find the product overlaps interesting.

Today, we volunteered on behalf of a Scout working Today, we volunteered on behalf of a Scout working on her Eagle project. Over the course of two days, she led a team of volunteers in the creation of these artificial oyster reefs.

In total, there are about 400 of these artificial reef pieces, made of oyster 🦪 shells set in concrete with burlap rebar. These blocks will be set along the shoreline to help prevent continued erosion, as well as filter the water and serve as homes for other sea creatures and marine life.

It was such a privilege to be part of this process.
