As we enter July, it’s time to gather round for another coffee date. This is our time to sit back and share things from our month.

After reading here, head on over to visit Coco and Deborah, our awesome link-up hosts.

Over Coffee, I Would Tell You…
That it’s actually 4th of July and I’m not feeling it. I did make a burrata board, inspired by the day, but that’s the extent of my celebration. I love cherries and burrata and this was a great way to combine the two. It’s been a while since I made any kind of board so this was fairly cathartic.

I Would Also Tell You…
That I cannot remember the last time we had a clear night for fireworks. Regardless, we won’t be going out for the show (the pugs get too scared by all the booms to leave them alone), but it’s kind of crazy that no matter what, it storms on 4th of July. This year it seems we have a tropical depression coming through. Good times.

Over Coffee, I Would Share…
That I bailed on the 4th of July race. Who am I, even? The threat of rain was definitely a factor, plus I had a hair appointment. This is a local race I absolutely don’t do every year, because who wants to race a 5K in July in Florida, but I was really thinking about it this year. Oh, well. I’ll get the next one. Or the one after that.

While We’re Having Coffee, I’m Going To Share…
That I took a little breather and now I’m going into another two busy months of dogs and cats. I’ve used the time to determine next steps, best practices, and scaling. it’s a big undertaking, but I’ve had a great group of clients to work with and can make adjustments based on my latest experiences.

With Coffee In Hand, I Would Tell You…
That I am looking forward to a change of scenery this week. Sometimes, you just have to get out of your own spaces. Adventure awaits and I am so very here for it.

What would you tell me over coffee?

Ah, this is such a great idea! I went cherry picking last week but have already eaten all the cherries, so I cannot try out this idea, haha. Hopefully next year!
A 4th of July race in Florida does sound pretty rough, haha. I don’t think I’d make it in the humidity. I hope you have a great weekend!
Fresh cherries sound like a dream! We don’t have the ability to pick them here 🙁
I’m not sorry I missed it. The medal was gorgeous but I wasn’t in the mood.
Your board is so cute! I’m not doing much to celebrate either, but I did make my daughter some special “July 4th” waffles. We’re also expecting rain here, but it looks like it’ll be more in the afternoon. I’m also staying home with the cats for the evening- my daughter is going to see fireworks with friends.
Are you taking a trip? My trip is coming up in a little over a week, and I can’t wait. You’re right, sometimes you need a change of scenery.
We are out of here on Sunday! I mostly can’t wait!
special waffles sound great. Mr PugRunner was going to make pancakes this morning, but we had no milk, so that was a no go. He owes me tomorrow.
I do love a good cheese board! My favorite. You know I am always a fan a good adventure! Have fun
it’s been a while since I made one and this was so good.
I love your board!
I’m not feeling a celebration this year either – we’re keeping it very low-keyed and I’m good with that.
I’m glad you have an adventure on the horizon! A change of scenary always does a body good 🙂
I am in desperate need of a change of pace.
I love the patriotic burrata board! I’ve made a cake and iced it with fruit in the form of an American flag, but I think this would be enjoyed much more.
Happy Independence Day!
If it’s burrata it has to be good!
This year was a depressing 4th of July with everything going on. But I made the best of it. I can’t wait to hear about your next adventure!
Soooo depressing. I didn’t even want to leave my couch.
The burrata board looks great! Nice color scheme 😉
We are loving the cherries this time of year!
I agree, the 4th is not a great time to be racing. We often have afternoon thunderstorms come through, but it was nice yesterday.
I am sure you will develop regular customers you like working with. I just planned a visit to my daughter around our Rover family’s availability—it will be our third time using them this year! OTOH my former regular person ghosted me — she seems to be still on Rover but stopped responding to requests.
