If I was a better social media guru, I would be leaning into this Pi Day with recipes, food reviews, and amazing theming. But I’m tired after a long week, and we will celebrate Kim’s birthday (the Pi) from afar, and pie day here with a Chicago pizza (pie) and Mr. Softee ice cream pie. I won’t even photograph it aesthetically. And that’s how this week ends.

Sunday
- Cardio: 4.25 miles, walking
I was absolutely wrecked after a whirlwind Friday and Saturday, but Mr. PugRunner asked if I wanted to go walk on the beach, and I will never turn that down. We got in some great miles, and then headed our for breakfast. Were there dolphins? Yup!
He doesn’t enjoy putting in as many miles as I prefer, but I had some dog walks slated for later in the day, so it worked out.
Monday
- Cardio: 6.43 miles, running
Oh, this felt fabulous. The weather was a little cooler, and it was a nice return from BDR Orlando. I also zipped off to get my nails done. Cherries for spring.

Most importantly, sweet Luna turned six! Mr PugRunner took both pugs on a bit of adventure. They got pup cups and visited our local pet boutique for toys and treats. A and I also brought home chicken nuggets for them. They had a great day.

Tuesday
- Cardio: 6.8 miles, running
Another day, another good run. I was thrilled to see the sun rise, and I was lucky to get to see some chalk art.

Wednesday
- Cardio: 7.12 miles, walking
It was a double walk day. First, I did some miles with J and then I met with A and her pup for some more. Ta-da!

From there, I had some errands to run. I needed a clear bag for Friday, and I wanted to look at some patio furniture. The bag was easy; the furniture less so.
Thursday
- Cardio: 5 miles, walking and running
I had an awful night of sleep. Maybe two hours. I was awake long before my alarm, and figured I would just get some fresh air. It was fine: running turned quickly to walking, and I took a fat nap in the afternoon. That helped immensely and I started to feel a lot better.

Friday
- Cardio: 1 mile, walking
Sometimes, miles are on the road. Other times, they’re on the golf course. Mr PugRunner and I got out early for a day at The Players, which is the golf tournament, commonly known as the Fifth Major. It’s a huge deal, and we were thrilled to have a beautiful day. The weather was perfect, the golf was fine (I was there for the experience, not the game), and it was good to get out.

Saturday
- Cardio: 4.09 miles, walking, yardwork (ew)
Since I had a bunch of client visits today, I did set the alarm and get a move on things.

Mr PugRunner decided he wanted to mulch and reseed the yard, so we all got roped into that. I am all about chores, but I loathe yardwork. Fortunately, the morning was pleasant.
We wrapped the day on the couch, except for when I had to go feed some critters. It was nice to have a break.
Thoughts + Goals
Spring Break is here, although it’s not really any kind of a break for me. The good news is I do get to spend most nights at home, and I’m grateful for that.
I plan to get in some more great runs and time at the gym this week, which is always a good goal.
And then maybe I’ll get a little downtime. Since the painters finished the house, suddenly I have so many upgrades and details that feel very important.I hate when that happens.

Weekly Rundown
I am linking up with the Weekly Rundown, with Confessions of A Mother Runner and Running on the Fly! Check them out!

Ha if I was a better social media person, I too would have posted some healthy pie recipes. It does get old sometimes huh?! Looks like you had a nice weather week to enjoy being outside and getting it done during a busy time. I bet the gold tournament is fun!
I’ve been super unfocused on posting, among other things. But we reset and move on.
The tournament was a blast. We are rallying a group for next year.
LOL, I didn’t even eat pie yesterday, let alone post about it. We were thinking about getting pizza (pie) but tried a new Indian place instead.
All your dog walking has got to be a health bonus but it does add up on your legs.
Enjoy your week at home. About now I’m questioning my decision to get a hotel room for a conference in D.C. this week, but I know commuting to it would be a slog.
Haha! We were thinking Indian but it’s too hot. Indian is cozy food for me.
My legs do get tired (and my hips), but I still like it.
Mr PugRunner and my friend are both going to DC this month. Ugh. I think the hotel is a better choice than commuting, but still. I don’t know that I would want to be there.
And now I want cherry pie…
Enjoy your week, Jenn! And happy birthday to Luna!
I love cherry pie.
I remember the old days, when the kids were little, making an actual pie for Pi day. Those days are long gone! First of all I certainly don’t want to make a pie, and second, I barely saw my daughter at all yesterday- she definitely wasn’t expecting any kind of pie. So I would say you actually did pretty well- at least you did have two pies!
Happy Birthday to Luna! That baby picture of her is adorable.
We’re on spring break as well this week, and while I of course still have work, it is an easier week for me- I can sleep a little later in the mornings, YES PLEASE. Hope the week plays out well for you and you get those house projects done.
It helps that I love pie. So I was glad to get some!
She is still such a cutie! I can’t believe she’s six!
We will get some things done. The fun time will be when Mr PugRunner goes out of town for a week and I am left unsupervised with my own free will!
Oh how fun to go to The Players – I bet you had a blast! As much as I enjoy watching The Masters and sometimes some of the other majors, I really don’t follow golf closely.
Happy birthday to Luna! It sounds like she had a fun day with lots of love and attention!
Your nails are cute!
I have no idea what was going on! I wanted my tacos, my cocktail, and cute pictures lol! Mr PugRunner had the golfers he was interested in, and we just walked around the holes. that’s the nice thing about the event: you can just wander, and explore, and sit on the grass if you want to camp out at a particular hole. It’s a great day.
I’d rather enjoy the pie (or possibly photograph it) than post about it on socials any day!
How cute to take the pugs out for some fun! Happy birthday to Luna! Luna Lovegood is my favourite character in Harry Potter by the way. She’s way cooler than anyone.
Well done getting the garden done. Prepping it in the spring isn’t really the most fun chore to do.
Hope you get a good week ahead!
we ended up with an ice cream pie and it’s magnificent.
Luna Lovegood is my fave as well. Unfortunately, my Luna is a bit more Bellatrix in personality. But I still love her to pieces (and she loves me).
Gardening is the worst lol!
I have oodles of yard work awaiting warmer weather. I want to get some landscaping done in my backyard. That’s a carryover project from last summer. I made a start, but it didn’t get as much done as I’d originally hoped…but I do enjoy that kind of “work.”
Getting in some good runs and gym time sounds so great! I love thr nails — so cute!
Thank you!
I just don’t enjoy it. I wish I did.
