In the blink of an eye, there it goes. It was a month with great range: some really incredible things, mixed with some really frustrating ones. I would prefer all good things, to be honest, but that doesn’t seem realistic. I guess a girl can dream. We are saying goodbye to October, and to Halloween, and entering November with tons of energy!

Sunday
- Cardio: 2.14 miles, walking
I fought the wind (and won) at the beach. While everyone else snoozed the morning away, I took a quick drive to the beach, and enjoyed a very breezy and slightly drizzly few miles.

Afterwards, we headed to my friends’ house, and we actually spent the next nine hours watching the games, just hanging out and catching up. It was so good to see them.
Monday
- Cardio: 3.59 miles, walking
Mr PugRunner wanted to join me at the beach, so we headed out a little later than usual. He also found a really lovely place for breakfast, where I had the yummiest avocado toast and iced cherry pistachio latte. Yum.

Truthfully, I was ready to go. We had such a great time with our friends, but South Florida isn’t my favorite. Plus, it was good to get home.
Tuesday
- Cardio: 4.25 miles, running
I was glad to be back in my old stomping grounds, even if it was wet and rainy. Once my miles were done, I showered and headed off to the polls to vote. There is just no reason to skip out on these midterms.

Wednesday
- Cardio: 4.46 miles, walking
The moon was spooky and gorgeous, and I enjoyed a very nice walk. The rainy weather has been making me feel super stiff and my ankle aches, so I’m hoping for clearer days ahead.

I ran some errands and tried to bring some order to our absolute disaster of a house. I was very motivated to get some of the garage cleaned out, and it’s looking decent. I’ll need to really dig in once the kitchen is in working order, but every little bit helps.
Thursday
- Cardio: 4.73 miles, running
Up and at ’em very bright and early.

And then we locked in. Mr PugRunner and I drove down to Orlando separately for A’s first college concert. He would be staying for the Space U game on Friday night, and I would come straight home after the performance. Not a fun turnaround, but I’m so grateful that I got to see him!

Friday
- Cardio: 5.75 miles, running + walking
I had some big plans for the day, but of course, it all started with a run.

Errands, lunch with my parents, and then a little more work in the garage. It was a gross and rainy day, and I also had some clients to tend to, as well. We are back in business after a much-needed reprieve.
Saturday
- Cardio: 4 miles, walking
Happy Halloween! My day didn’t have a spooky start at all: I had clients, and coffee, and the most lovely pink sunrise.

Today looked a little different than originally intended, but the new kitchen will make up for the loss of a great, themed culdesac party. We will do a friendsgiving after Turkey Day to make up for it.
Thoughts + Goals
I don’t have much to say. Things are all sort of stalled right now. It’s fine, but I like to be in motion at all times.
I haven’t done much official strength training, but I think it’s fair to count hauling bins and shelves in and out of the garage. I also think building bar stools factors in. The gym isn’t the only place for valid fitness.
The plan is to get through this and our next trip. And then it will be time to clean and organize our new space! And decorate for the winter holidays! I’m excited to host in our new kitchen!
