It’s kind of weird having holidays weekends with the kiddo gone. In fact, I booked a house sitting gig for the duration because we just didn’t have plans in mind. Additionally, it’s still so freaking hot that I personally don’t want to do anything too full of effort. I’m lazy like that.

Sunday
- Cardio: 4.52 miles, walking
I was pretty excited to get to head home for a few days. And I was even more grateful to catch the sunrise. Sometimes, it’s just the motivation I need.

Once I packed up, I met Mr PugRunner for breakfast and then it was home for the pugs and time on the couch. I needed some downtime.
Monday
- Cardio: 5.72 miles, running
- Strength: upper body, 40 minutes
Happy Monday! I had time for a run and a gym session, and that made it feel like an incredibly productive day.

Tuesday
- Cardio: 5.61 miles, running
I needed a bit of a stress-reliever, which made this run pretty perfect. I met Mr PugRunner at another coffee shop and after some co-working time, I headed off to a meeting with a potential new client. It went really well and I’m excited about the possibility of exploring some more creative avenues!

Wednesday
- Cardio: 4.64 miles, walking
Up and at ’em.

I had a busy day: a lunch meeting with a client, as well as a dinner date with the hubs. We ended up at a newish place for pasta, salad, pizza, and wine. It was fun and the food was phenomenal!

Thursday
- Cardio: 6.01 miles, running
This was actually a good morning run, even after a night of wine. I’m always glad when that happens.

I had a quick dinner with Mr PugRunner before leaving, and Meghan sent flowers to cheer me up a little.

Friday
- Cardio: 4.52 miles, running
Another hot and muggy morning. Over it, already.

It was a pretty quiet day, until all the lightning storms hit. Fortunately, all my pet clients were ok with the storms, but it still makes it yucky for walks and outside time.
Saturday
- Cardio: 2.42 miles, walking
Today ended up being a little light in the miles, but that’s ok. The point is, I got a good nights’ sleep and spent some time with my sweet clients.

It’s a pretty busy day. I’m running around with dogs and cats, and also popping in on the pugs, while Mr. PugRunner takes a trek down to see A with an entire car stuffed with staples, food, and fun things. That guy needs a positive boost.

Thoughts + Goals
It was a good week, but a tough week. It’s hard to see your favorite people be down in the dumps and not be able to immediately help.
I’ve also been pretty busy with a lot of different balls in the air. I function well when I’m busy, but I also like some downtime. Which is, of course, why I decided I’m going to start painting a room and refinishing a table next week. I know, I know. But peaceful living spaces mean peaceful minds.
I’m also incredibly ready for our next round of travel. It will be good to get out for some fun.
Only one time at the gym this week, but Ill do better. I’ve got a 5K coming up next Saturday, and I’ll also be celebrating 1000 days of streaking this week! Very exciting!

Looks like a pretty solid week for you. WY to get outside with the challenging weather. It’s nice you are close enough to drop things off to your son when he needs it
