Last day of Week 1!
It’s a small thing, but the accomplishment feels oh, so good.
I noticed that I was getting impatient for the walking portions to be over so I could get to the jogging. And that I wasn’t necessarily ready to stop when the jogging intervals switched back to walking. I definitely didn’t expect that.
I was also surprised to see that I was traveling much further in my jogging than in the previous two days. I tried not to push myself too far, too fast, but I enjoyed feeling like I was getting somewhere with my pace.
The only downfall to Day 3 was a stomach cramp during my cool down. It did pass after a minute or two, but it wasn’t a comfortable feeling and I do have some concerns about how I will do with running longer distances and avoiding that particular kind of cramp.
However, we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it. I finished the week with a personal best distance/pace at 2.65 miles (10:56 min/mile). Not too bad.
