This has been quite the week.
With all the wonderful things (little man’s birthday celebration, for example), we had to expect there would be some hiccups.
Rain. Mr PugRunner suffering from the crud along with his eye. Little man coming home from school, burning up with fever (he never gets fevers). Bentley the pug waking up with rather unpleasant tummy issues.
Basically, my house looked like this.
You know they’re not feeling well because neither one stops moving during daylight hours. Ever.
Fortunately, everyone seems to be on the mend, but it has been an exhausting week. And obviously, running has suffered. As has laundry, grocery shopping and general productivity. However, Frozen viewings are at an all time high.
My April mileage was 30, which isn’t anything fabulous, but there’s nowhere to go but up from here. I am definitely going to squeeze in two good runs this week, no matter what. If I can manage three, all the better, but I am committed to two.
This week is Teacher Appreciation Week. Our school’s PTA is pretty awesome and is putting together some really special surprises for the faculty, and I know they’re going to love everything. My co-room mom and I went in to school on Friday afternoon and decorated our teacher’s door. There were so many great ideas and designs, and I think the teachers are going to love their surprises.
If you need some ideas for teacher appreciation gifts for this week, check out some of the crafts we put together last year:
I’m looking forward to some fun things this week. A field trip, organizing my new Erin Condren planner and my birthday! The rain is finally over and I am so excited for the sunshine!
How was your weekend?
What are you looking forward to this week?

Talking to my mom, the rain ya’ll have been having has been majorly bumming her out! She can’t run right now due to an injury but has been booking it, walking, in the rain haha!
I hope the whole family is feeling MUCH better this week!
Thing I am looking forward to? Seeing my family this weekend for Mothers Day, yey!!

It’s been rain for daysssss! Thank goodness today was so gorgeous and we are looking forward to a beautiful week. I don’t mind a shower or two in the afternoon (it will be rainy season after all), but the constant gray days were just too much!
Oh, I hope you have a wonderful time with your family!

Decorating the door is so cute. We are doing teacher appreciation week next week at our school, but we don’t really get parent volunteers.

It was fun. We have a lot of parent volunteers (or at least it seems like we do), so there is always a lot of help. We also have a PTA chair solely dedicated to teacher appreciation, so once a month, the teachers get a gift or a lunch or similar.

Looks like the sickness is doing the rounds, my daughter is feeling very much like your boy atm. I hope it’s only a 24 hour thing.
Totally love the Frozen door. I wish more parents could get involved with their child’s school for things like this. The kids love it, and the Teachers really appreciate it.

Oh, no. I hope your daughter is feeling better soon. Fortunately, the fever broke quickly and he was back to normal, but it was awful 🙁
I am very lucky to be able to help out at school. I love his school and his teachers and I am so happy that I am able to spend so much time there helping out. The kids haven’t seen their door yet, and I hope they love it as much as the teacher does.

CUTE ideas! We just made ours for Sam’s teachers yesterday – my husband had the idea to make “gift card lollipops” by attaching giftcards to rulers with giant paper clips that the teachers could use. I hope they like them!

Oh, that’s adorable! I’ve never seen that! We did a gift card wreath and gift card bouquets, but never a lollipop! Genius!
