This is a sponsored post. I was compensated by Earth Fare for my review of their new store. Earth Fare also provided the gift card used in the following giveaway. All opinions are my own.
Today, something new is hitting Jacksonville: Earth Fare.
Founded in 1975 in Asheville, NC, Earth Fare is an organic and natural foods grocery store, offering a wide variety of delicious items, including fresh, local produce, meats and seafood, cheese, made-from-scratch baked goods, health and wellness products, pet foods and treats, and a variety of bulk and ready-to-go hot and cold items.
However, what sets Earth Fare apart from other stores is its commitment to quality and wellness. Upon entering the store, customers are greeted by this sign
And shoppers can rest assured that Earth Fare will not compromise those standards. The company maintains an extensive and expanding “Boot List“, which details ingredients and additives that will never appear on their store shelves.
What shoppers WILL find is a vast selection of good, quality food products that they can eat and feed to their families with confidence.
Yesterday, I was treated to a special preview of the new Earth Fare location. Even though some of the perishables wouldn’t be stocked until first thing this morning, I was very impressed by the variety and quality of what was available.
Beautiful produce, locally sourced as much as possible;
A huge bulk department, boasting nuts, grains, candy, flours, dried beans, grind-your-own nut butters, honey, agave, and syrup. Use a reusable container provided by Earth Fare or supply your own;
A health and wellness department, boasting vitamins, natural remedies, supplements, lotions, soaps and even cosmetics. All are natural and cruelty-free and some are even entirely vegan;
And an enormous cheese selection.
Items produced locally are clearly marked
And gluten-free products are plentiful, and also clearly marked by wood-grain shelf edges to take the guesswork out of shopping and reading labels.
Another of Earth Fare’s goals is to make good, wholesome foods accessible to everyone. Certain items are marked with a red sign with an arrow pointing down, to indicate that these things are not only priced incredibly low, but also that this is a long-term price. I was very pleasantly surprised, at a cursory glance, to see that products seemed very reasonably priced, for the quality.
The store is staffed by friendly customer service reps, who are on hand to answer questions and help guide you through your choices. Shoppers who aren’t sure if they will like a product can ask to sample (within reason), before committing to a purchase. Customer satisfaction is a definite priority.
Savings are also key. Earth Fare patrons can sign up for mobile deals by texting “EAT” to 71700, subscribe to deals and news by email, or download an app for great coupons and discounts. Check out all the ways to save here.
There are great in-store deals as well, like $5 rotisserie chickens on Fridays, and Family Dinner Night, where up to six children can dine free for every $5 or more purchase made from the hot or cold ready-to-eat bar (scheduled to begin 8/28 in the Jacksonville location).
With all this to offer, today’s Grand Opening promises to be fabulous. The new Jacksonville Earth Fare will open after the ribbon cutting at 7:45 AM, at 11901 Atlantic Boulevard, Suite 250. Come on by to shop, explore or enjoy a bite to eat in a warm and welcoming environment, full of healthy and delicious options.
And here’s something to help make your shopping trip more fun. I’m giving away a $50 gift card to Earth Fare, so one lucky shopper can stock up on some fresh, natural groceries. Leave me a comment telling me what kind of item you’re most excited to try at Earth Fare, which will unlock more opportunities to win! Winner will be selected by Rafflecopter and announced on Monday 8/25/2014! Good luck!

I am so excited to know there is going to be someplace with reasonable prices where I can get real food and not processed for myself and my kids lunches and snacks. For a big family sometimes its hard to afford organic food but I am looking forward to making this store a staple place to shop in our future.
