IT’S HALLLLLOOOOOWEEEEEEN! Can you tell? I’m a little excited. Just a tad. I can’t help it.
Sunday – 3.15 miles, walking
After a night at the gala, getting up early was absolutely not a priority. I did manage to drag myself out of bed at some point and force myself to walk. That is what dedicated people do. Or something.
A came home from his camping weekend, and we all took a chill day with movies and family time. Nice.
Monday – 5.59 miles, beach + bridge
Once again, I didn’t want to run the bridges. I did do a little bit on the beach, but then I reverted to walking. Meh.
I did mix things up and head out to some of the beach neighborhoods. There are some beautiful houses and things around the area, and it was nice to have a change of scenery.
Tuesday – 5.00 miles, running + .84 miles, walking
We have been patiently waiting for a cold front, but the humidity is still going strong. Ugh. J and I slogged through the run. Neither one of us was feeling it.
Tuesdays are for Taco. This was my first day working with him all alone and he was a whole mood. He didn’t want to be haltered, nor did he want to cooperate for his grooming. On the plus side, he gave me all four of his hooves to pick, willingly and without complaint. Small progress.
Wednesday – 4 miles, walking + bicep workout
It’s so much easier to get in walks than weights. I don’t know what that is. I think I’m just ready to get the day going once I come home. But I’m committed, so this is what it is.
A went to hang out with his buddy after school, and my friend (his mom) said it was alright if I used her dirt road for photos to showcase my costume. I’m going as the Bo Burnham song, “A White Woman’s Instagram.” I made a shirt with the Rae Dunn font that says “COSTUME” and I also made the “basic witch” coffee cup. I think I nailed it.
Thursday – 4.92 miles, running + .65 miles, walking + shoulder workout
We woke up to actual storms with thunder and lightning. Like to the point that A needed a ride to school, rather than ride his bike. I actually went to the gym and started my run on the treadmill, but when I saw that things were clearing up, I texted J and asked if she would be up for getting just a little wet. I worked on my shoulders while I waited for her, and then we made it happen.
I usually treat myself to an iced coffee after a run, but I was freezing and decided to see if our Starbucks had the ingredients for a peppermint mocha. They did! And they gave me a venti instead of the grande I paid for.
Yes, it was a bones day. If you know, you know.
Friday – 2.46 miles, walking
I didn’t have much time for my walk, but I got done what I could.
I had to hurry to shower and get dressed, because Mr PugRunner and I had plans to be at the Social Media Expo Jax at University of North Florida. We both wanted some input on social media for our respective businesses, and neither of us had done this kind of conference before.
I learned a little more about TikTok, while he got some feedback on growth. It was a productive day.
When we got home, we got A shipped off to his second consecutive camping weekend, and then hit the couch for dinner and Season 3 of You.
Saturday – 8.6 miles, running + 1.37 miles, walking
Back to long runs! It was cold and glorious and we ran and ran! Delightful days.
Our 15th anniversary is this week, so we went out for an early dinner to a new restaurant we hadn’t tried. We had beet salad, bourbon cocktails, and salmon and short ribs. So yummy and so nice to try a new place.
Goal-getting
I’m finally feeling better, which makes me happy. It was a long two weeks of ick.
Strength workouts are going strong, pun intended. The colder weather makes it harder for me to keep my water intake up there, but I’m trying. Progress, not perfection, right?
This will be another busy week with a virtual class for me, a’s third consecutive campout and our anniversary getaway. I’m also super motivated to take some giant strides with my Runs With Pugs brand, and so I ordered some content planners and calendars, and will see if I can make something happen. Wish me luck?
I am linking up with the Weekly Rundown, with Confessions of A Mother Runner and Running on the Fly! Check them out!
How was your week in training?
Trick or Treat?

Happy Halloween!
That was a nice win at Starbucks 🙂 I was a little mad at them yesterday because I found out that they aren’t bringing back the Eggnog Latte for their holiday drink collection 🙁
I love your TikToks. I am always on the app looking at funny videos but haven’t taken the plunge to post anything on there yet.

Wow, you really did a lot this week! I’m envious of your cold weather- we thought we were getting a cooldown here, but it never really materialized. I hope you’re having an awesome Halloween! Love your costume.

Treats of course.
It was fun seeing all the little ones dressed up.. we had many more than usual and ran out of candy. So I escaped and met a friend for wine.
