And here we are, sharing coffee in this first week of November. It’s a new month, but also, the second to last month of the year. I’ll be happy to put 2021 in the rearview mirror and move on to something else. I don’t know about you, but it has not been my most favorite year.
After reading here, head on over to visit Coco and Deborah, our awesome link-up hosts.
Over coffee, I would tell you…
Yesterday was #RedCup day at Starbucks. Since we were celebrating our 15th anniversary, I insisted we take advantage. Mr PugRunner just had boring coffee in his holiday cup, but I went with my trusty peppermint mocha. There is a new flavor this year: Iced Sugar Cookie Almond Milk Latte. Have you tried it? I don’t always love almond milk, so I’m curious to know how it is.

That I am loving the colder weather we are having. This has been a welcome break and makes it feel like actual fall and winter for a change. Running is so much easier when it’s cooler and less humid, and I adore every second of this gift.
Over coffee, I would tell you…
That we had the most beautiful interaction with Chewy.com. Very long story short, we got a bag of food from them that Luna straight up refused to eat (it was her normal kibble, but she wouldn’t go near it). When Mr PugRunner called them to give them a heads up, it came up that the pug listed on the account was Delilah, who has gone to the Rainbow Bridge. The rep credited our account, updated it with Luna’s name, shared some pug talk with my husband, and ended the call. Two days later, these flowers arrived at our house, in honor of our loss. We were so blown away, and Chewy has customers for life with us.

That I can’t stop making grazing boards. I had another virtual Yelp Elite class on Wednesday, and this was the result. It was perfect timing. I had some stress eating to do, and cheese and cured meats were the correct answer to that problem.
Over coffee, I would tell you…
That I did a thing. I am obsessed with Jon Graziano, his 13 year old pug Noodle, and the Bones/No Bones trend. Well, since I was crazy busy on Wednesday, I clearly carved out some time to make a throw pillow. It says “Treat Yourself, It’s A Bones Day” on one side, and “Sorry I Can’t, It’s A No Bones Day” on the other. I regret nothing.
What would you share over coffee?

I can’t wait for my winter Starbucks. Just because. But I work from home so it will have to wait.
That’s interesting about Chewy. My cats are very picky too.
Love your grazing board. That would be cool to make for Thanksgiving.

So tonight, she gobbled her food like she is starving. She’s so weird.

I love that Grazing Board! A class like that would be so fun!
Awesome about Chewy! I love good customer service and kindness!
runswithpugs says
I bet you could find a virtual or in-person one near you!

I do love a good grazing board as well and usually have them at our get together. I have not gotten a Starbucks holiday cup yet but I am sure that will happen this weekend. I don’t have a taste for the sugar filled drinks so regular coffee it is for me. Enjoy your cooler weather. Thanks for joining for coffee
runswithpugs says
I hope you have fun too!

Jenn, we are so on the same page! I also had to rush off to Starbucks yesterday to get a “red” cup. I’m boring like your husband, but drinking my usual tea out of those cups makes me happy.
Okay, I’m going to try and imitate the design of your grazing board next time- it looks so pretty!
What a story about Chewy- I’ve been thinking about trying them out and now I will for sure.

Please feel free to reach out if you need help with your board! I am happy to give some tips!
Yeah, he didn’t want the cup, and then had the nerve to complain that he got “the ugly cup.” No, sir. Drink your coffee and hush.

The hubs and I were just talking that it has NOT been a good year. Last year, we kind of rolled with it. This year sucked. Sorry, not sorry. Here’s to 2022!!!
runswithpugs says
Seriously! Let’s get it!

No Starbucks in my area (the closest is 20 miles away, and that’s just the “satellite” thing in a grocery store). However, I might be finding a real Starbucks this weekend in the Windy City 😉 Those flowers are so beautiful…what a nice touch 😉
runswithpugs says
I hope you have so much fun!

What a nice touch by Chewy! I’ve always thought they have such good customer service. I have not made it to Starbucks for my holiday cup, but am planning to go this week. Peppermint mocha is always a good choice.

Chewy is the best. And I have been loving the peppermint mocha.
