Happy February! Yes, it seems like we will have six more weeks of winter, but at least we will have love and coffee!

After reading here, head on over to visit Coco and Deborah, our awesome link-up hosts.

Over coffee, I would tell you…
My coffee bar is complete! The table was a gift from my parents (which I refinished in white chalk paint). Then I found the shelf and mug rack, baskets and containers, and voila! A super cute little area next to my kitchen counter. It was the perfect way to repurpose an old piece of furniture!
Over coffee, I would tell you…
That I have only purchased one cup of “out” coffee in weeks. You read correctly! I am now making my own iced coffee with Stōk Cold Brew Black Coffee, a splash of Natural Bliss Almond Milk Creamer (in vanilla or sweet cream) and just a drizzled of Ghiradelli Salted Caramel Syrup. It’s quite tasty, and I’m saving tons of money. Thanks to all those who encouraged me to find a way to make something I would enjoy!
Over coffee, I would tell you…
That I had a serious day of self-care. Due to some rescheduling issues, I had the pleasure of a hair appointment and nail appointment back to back! That NEVER happens, and it was honestly nice to have a few hours just handling those things. I love my new Valentine’s nails, too!

Over coffee, I would tell you…
That I am pretty nervous about Sunday’s race. I keep trying not to worry about the weather or anything but having fun, but it’s like my first half marathon all over again, and it’s hard to roll with it. Fingers crossed that I can keep the positive vibes going and focus on a great race for a good cause, a fun expo, and lost off new bling!

Over coffee, I would tell you…
That I am crushing my reading goals. I am on book number eight of 2022 (The Power of the Dog), and I have joined two book clubs. Building reading back into my routine has been a great gift that I was able to give myself, and I am really proud that

Your coffee bar is amazing! You do have such a great ability to decorate.
Did you see the Power of the Dog on Netflix? So good.
You’re going to do great at your race this weekend!!!!
Thank you!
I didn’t see it yet but I want to! I have to wait for the boys to be out because I don’t think they would appreciate it (we only have one tv).
I love your coffee bar. Working from home is saving me lots of money. I rarely get Starbucks now. When I do it’s a great.
Very excited for you. You will rock this rock. You are so prepared. Remember to enjoy it and a finish is a win.
I’ve been reading a lot more this year too. I don’t count though. Maybe I should.
I like entering everything in GoodReads and Litsy to see how my reading adds up.
We saw the movie that I presume was based on that book. Unfortunately didn’t like it. Hope you like the book better!
Good luck with your half. I think it’s completely normal to be nervous. I bet you have a great time!
Your coffee nook is super cute. Wish we had space for that!
Chocolaterunsjudy recently posted…I’m not a senior . . . : Tea/coffee Date February 2022
So, I hated the first few chapters of the book. It made me so uncomfortable. And while I can’t say I loved it when it was done, I thought it was an excellent read and now I want to see the movie to see how all these awful people played out! I hope that makes sense.
I love your coffee bar!
Good luck this weekend- nerves are normal! I hope you have a great time.
So far I’m on track with my reading goal (which is more modest than yours at four books a month.) I agree- reading makes life so much better.
I’ll be looking forward to hearing all about the race!
I just read really fast. If I like a book, I can be done in a matter of hours. It’s a blessing (read more) and a curse (need more books)
I love your coffee bar! It definitely has all the essentials 🙂
I am happy with how it came out.
What a great coffee bar – it would be so nice to have a space in my kitchen like that! And, huge kudos to you for cutting back on the coffee purchases.
I’m excited for you and your race this weekend! I hope you have so much fun – I’m looking forward to hearing all about it!
Thank you! I wanted something a little different, but this was free, so I made it work.
I can’t wait to share the race report!
I love your new coffee bar — something about an appealing space makes DIY treats easier.
I need to get back to reading. I miss it.
I am doing my best to stay on reading track!
Good luck on your race! Weather is ALWAYS my biggest worry, even though it’s totally out of my control. Even though I have run in almost every kind of weather condition, it is tough not knowing exactly what to expect come race day.
Usually, the weather is fine. It will be hot, but we know how to deal with that. This is the third time I’ve raced in rain (once was a 20 minute drizzle during the WDW marathon, and the other was a sopping wet Thanksgiving race where I ran in a garbage bag). I hated it lol.
Your nails are amazing! Mine are hopelessly shredded. I’m sure there’s some vitamin I should be taking to make them stronger.
Good luck with the race! I hope you have a great time and do better than you are expecting. 😉
thank you. The artist uses this stuff on them that makes them super strong (it’s called luminary nails). She is the expert so I just show her what I want and then let her do her magic.
Great coffee bar! When I buy a house please come decorate for me. I am impressed with the number of books you’ve read. Have a great race! Don’t worry too much about it and have fun. Sending you lots of hugs!
I would love to help you with decorating! I wish I could totally redo the house here, but… I would rather travel lol.
Thank you for the hugs.
