Here we are: runfessing all the March things. This month was just insane, personally, and in the overall scheme of things. Chaos has been an ongoing theme, and I am very happy to be putting March in the rearview mirror.
For this month’s trip to the runfessional, let’s join up with Marcia’s Healthy Slice…
I runfess…
That I am so relieved that my strength training is working! Much as I don’t love it, I have been consistent and dedicated, and I am back to running, pain-free. Some days, I feel like my entire morning is spent doing some kind of physical activity, but if I am seeing results, it’s worth it.
I runfess…
That puppies are a lot of work. Don’t worry: I’m not complaining. This is the kind of work I don’t mind. And honestly, could Leonidas be any cuter (Luna is equally adorable)? But the truth is that we have a lot of sleepless nights and super early mornings, and lots and lots of potty breaks. Butt he is doing so well: he is 12 weeks old, pretty much sleeping through the night, and having so much fun with his big sister.
I runfess…
That Spring Break was a bit of a bummer. Between the weather canceling most of my plans, the dark and stormy days, Mr PugRunner being out of town, and the whole appliance fiasco, I was really disappointed. There were bright spots (like spending time with my parents, and aforementioned new appliances), but nothing went according to plan, and that was disappointing.
I runfess…
That I am also disappointed that I had to defer my April trail relay. Due to injuries, it was absolutely the right decision, but I had been so excited for it. I feel like one thing after another keeps getting canceled for a variety of reasons, and that’s keeping my very much off balance.
I runfess…
That since the trail relay is off the table, I’ve been tempted to sign up for a whole slew of other events. This one is coming up in a little over a week, and I’m tossing around the idea. I’ve never done it before, and I don’t love evening races, but what the heck?
What are you runfessing today?

Too bad about your plans.
But the good news is that you are running pain free.
Trail races scare me still. My ankle is very inflexible. I’m afraid of falling. One day I will bite the bullet.
Wine and chocolate? How can you go wrong? Sounds like fun.

I feel like you and I have been experiencing a similar “blah-ness” these days. Except you have a puppy to cheer you up! Yes, Leo could not be any cuter.
That race sounds fun! You can’t go wrong with wine and chocolate.

The Wine & Chocolate 5k sounds like it’s the fun race you need right now. Sorry spring break was disappointing. Bad weather seems to throw a kink in stuff all over the country lately. Little Leo could not be cuter!

Sorry that Spring Break didn’t come together. The weather has really been such a challenge! It is great to hear that your strength training is paying off – I hope running continues to feel good for you. The Wine & Chocolate 5K sounds like fun – wish I lived closer 😉

I think that Wine and Chocolate 5k is right up your alley! I know we are all wanting to feel ‘normal’ again, but I guess we have to ease back into it. Love love love the pups!

Wine and chocolate. Yes please. I’m sorry yuo’re off kilter.
Is your garage carpeted? <3

Seems like we all had undesirable weather this week. It got really cold, here, after Monday…and the wind upped its vindictiveness. That 5K could be a pseudo cure-all 🙂
