I can’t believe it but we are in the home stretch of freshman year! This is always the busiest time of year, for a lot of reasons, so now is the time to buckle down and set eyes on the prize. We’ve got this. But first, a look at the week in fitness.

Sunday
- Cardio: 4.61 miles, walking
I’m taking that stretch theme seriously! It was hot and I slept a little later but this was a nice walk.

The rest of the day was nothing special. Did I spend almost two hours on a Zoom meeting? Yes, yes I did. Ugh. I hate meeting and conference calls.
Monday
- Cardio: 4.11 miles, running + 2.71 miles, walking
Let’s get this week started! Happy Boston Marathon Day!

Tuesday
- Cardio: 4 miles, running + walking
As I shared, I took this one to the new shared use path, since it was cool enough to make a walk in the full sun bearable. Yes, we’re at that time of year when it’s getting hot and if you’re not out before the sun comes up, you’re sizzling.

In the evening, we had a Scouts meeting. Summer and Philmont are coming up fast.
Wednesday
- Cardio: 6.62 miles, running + 2.11 miles, walking
We are getting after it with a morning run! Three cheers for cooler weather and a glorious sunrise!

Thursday
- Cardio: 4.83 miles, walking
Good morning! Let’s get to it with a walk!

That night, we went back to the middle school for their band concert. A has some friends who are coming up from 8th grade into marching and he wanted to support them. They played beautifully, and will be an asset to our band when they enter high school.
Friday
- Cardio: 3.68 miles, running + 4.08 miles, walking
We are currently experiencing controlled burns and fires, which is making the air quality absolutely garbage. This was a struggle run.

The rest of the day was just hectic. We started our deliveries for our mulch fundraiser and it was madness, as always. We worked through a chunk of houses, and went straight to bed.
Saturday
- Cardio: .73 miles, walking
Happy mulch day! While this isn’t a lot of fun, it’s a really great fundraiser for the Scouts, and A will earn enough through sales and work hours to completely subsidize his Philmont trip for the year. With some of the expenses we’ve had this year via band and Mr PugRunner, it’s nice to get the boost.
That being said, we started the morning at the karate belt testing. And then we joined up with the Scouts, to work our butts off. It was a lot.

Our dance studio had their recital this weekend, sigh. As much as we dreaded all the stress and expense, I do miss the chaos and busyness. yay for Team ROADiD! I’m glad to be back as well 😉
A is growing up fast! This time of year is so busy for parents, but in a good way. Enjoy!
Happy birthday to A! I have been craving pancakes ….
I can have hours of video calls a day, but usually the longest is an hour and I try to schedule breaks in between. It is exhausting though.
I’m sorry to hear about the fires going on, but still – your early morning runs/walks look fantastic. Happy birthday to your son, and to you too! Looks like you had a good week.
I can’t believe A will be 15 soon! And finished with freshman year! thinking about it must make your head spin at times!
