Mother’s Day is on Sunday, which will bring most of our personal May festivities to an end. Whoo hoo. So how will this Mother Runner celebrate the occasion? I would love to tell you.
Run A Race
Obviously, runners want to run. Since I didn’t get to do my beloved Spud Run, I am excited to have another race lined up. This is the DONNA Mother’s Day 5K, and it’s going to be great. Do I know what the course looks like? Nope, but it’s in a cool part of town and we will be able to snag a nice breakfast after.
Head To The Beach
I’ve decided that since A will still be on his shakeout hike/campout, this runner wants to get up early, grab coffee and breakfast from a new coffee place, and head to the beach to walk. I haven’t been to the beach in a while, so what better time? I won’t be seeing my mom on Mother’s Day (we will celebrate in a few weeks), so why not?
Not Deal With The Kitchen
Seriously. I do not want to raise a finger in the kitchen. Honestly, I don’t do much cooking at all right now, but on this day especially, I don’t want to stress about it. I guess we have to eat; I just don’t want to worry about what, when, or how.
Do Something Fun + Different
Ok, so this one will be a bit of a surprise, but some plans happened to come through that are going to make for an amazing evening. We were honestly going to probably stay home and just avoid the Mother’s Day crowds, but this runner is heading out. Keep your fingers crossed for mild weather, clear skies and low wind! You know I’ll report back with details!

Sounds like a great day! I’m not sure what we will be doing yet, but I just hope to get in a run! And staying out of the kitchen would be nice but I doubt that will happen 🙂

Sounds like the perfect Mother’s Day Weekend! We will be celebrating my youngest’s graduation from UW. My parents are coming, so I’ll be with my mom. I don’t think the weather is going to be great but I’ll be with my family and that is all I need!
