Ok, I don’t know if it’s really a September to remember, but any time we have runfessions, it’s certainly noteworthy.

For this month’s trip to the runfessional, let’s join up with Marcia’s Healthy Slice…

It Has Been A Month Of Highs
There’s something so fantastic about riding the wave of restarts and resets. I am so happy to have a race on the calendar, and one week of strength training comfortably under my belt. It always feels so good to be moving forward. I even got my first pair of wireless ear buds so that I don’t have to listen to all the gym grunting and weight slamming! I love that they are pink!

But Also A Month Of Lows
Work has been challenging. I love it of course, but it’s also been a test of rolling with the punches and being flexible. It’s also been busy, which helps me be more productive. It’s a bizarre quirk I have. Regardless, I’ve shaken out the cobwebs and feel better prepared to move forward with all my projects.
I Took It Out On My Hair
The blond was fantastic, but I am ready to go dark again. And while we stated that journey at my last visit with my stylist, this time, we went all the way. Fortunately, she totally gets my vision and requests and hooked me up. I might push for one shade darker next time, but for now, it’s just what I wanted.

And Also On My Schedule
My calendar is FULL. The last third of my year is almost completely at capacity and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I always say how much I love the holiday madness and I mean it. There just aren’t enough days in the next three months to make room for everything, but I’m certainly going to try. We open this weekend with a home screening of Rocky Horror Picture Show and a Farmer’s Market (weather permitting).

And I’ve Never Been So Happy To Be Back To Running
That’s right! My foot feels a million times better and I’m back out there. This definitely makes it a September to remember, knowing that I am comfortably back to doing what I love. I missed it so much, and while I hate fighting rain this week, it’s worth it.

It sounds like things are really rolling along for you!
Yay on the running!
I do not have a busy calendar for the rest of the year, but I do have 2-3 more short work trips that throw me off.
Where are you headed?
We have at least two trips to Orlando, one to Alabama, one to Charleston, and one to the Keys. I’m so excited.
I am so glad that you are feeling better. This season always feels like a renewal but also hectic. I love the new hair and I like to go darker in the fall as well. Cheers to stronger running for both of us!
YES! We’ve got this!
Hooray! I’m glad your foot is better. Yes, I know it feels so good to be out there again after an injury.
I also love the holiday madness! It hasn’t really started for me yet, but it will soon. And, I love your hair!!!
Thank you! This is absolutely my favorite season in every way!
Yay for all the good things and for your return to running!
I love your hair – the darker tones look great on you!
Thank you! I hope you get back to 100% soon! I know this has been rough!
I’m glad you’re feeling better and I love your new (old) look!
That’s great news on the foot’s happiness, and the return to running. I hope the rest of ‘23 continues to get even better!
Love the new, darker hair! Cheers to an amazing final quarter of the year. It sure sped by!
Thank you! It really did!
Shoot. I think my comment went *poof* Anyways, I’m glad you’re able to get back to running! I hope all goes well with your return 😉
I think I found it!
That’s great news that your foot is feeling better and you’re running comfortably again!
I just decorated for fall – I only have a few little Halloween things because I’m really not into it, but love fall and have lots of fall stuff.
I’ll swap out the Halloween for fall stuff in November. I make the most of both seasons!
You can have the holiday madness! I’ll be snuggling at home. With visits to mom, of course.
That’s great that running is going so well!
Love the hair. I always let mine go in the Summer — I REALLY need a haircut!
Chocolaterunsjudy recently posted…Live to run another day: 9/25 – 10/1 WRD
Snuggling at home is great, too! Especially with visits to mom! I am all for the hair refresh!
